Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

My husband and I went out to this Bethpage Location last Saturday. We usually go out between 4:30 & 5:30 but we only arrived at 6:15. It was already far too crowded in the parking lot , both sides but then a spot opened up that wasn’t too far. Instead of using the rolator though i chose to use the cane so walking from the back of the parking lot to the doors while an issue normally didn’t kill me. When we entered there was the usual wait of 1/2 hour and they did go get me a seat. But I felt totally bad that I was tying up the traffic coming from the bar to the out door or for people coming in and having to then Stand out of my way. I felt disheartened that so many of the parents were on their phones and didn’t either offer me a seat or have one of their screaming kids do so and behave. Off to a bad start. We had a lovely waitress ALLEY who was overwhelmed so we tried to make it easier on her by being extra friendly and funny and you could see her sigh of relief that at least one table wasn’t being unkind to her. One table was out right disgusting but we couldn’t say a word so that she either could learn to take it or get her manager to handle. We ordered the chips and salsa and i asked no less then 3 times for sour cream but never received. My husband was never asked if he wanted his drink refilled and i had gotten tea and wasn't asked if i wanted mine refilled. When I received my meal it was wrong in a big way it was supposed to be a big salad with vinaigrette dressing chicken cheese etc meanwhile i got all lettuce and baby spinach on a plate .HMMM I asked her if because i asked for no bean and corn salsa did they replace it with a different kind of salad. She wasn’t sure and i do not feel this was her fault. I think it was whom ever made it in the kitchen. My husband got baby back ribs that they are so famous for ...we didn’t see too much meat and he ordered a full dinner but looks like he got a half. The fries were terrible , cold to the touch or room temp certainly not what you want to eat but because i was so hungry i tried one but had to spit it out. It literally was so salty and spicy besides not being even warm enough to say they had been under a warming light. The manager then came over when we were ready to go and offered to make me a salad her self but i declined since my husband was already finished with his meal. She took off that charge but i think in this situation the bill should have been adjusted more. We feel like a lot of other things played into this bad experience because we have gone to this location in the past without issue. We want to say though that the waitress was super pleasant and was trying her best but they need many more servers there if they want to have a better service for at very least dinner on a Sat. Night . We tipped our girl well because not only do they rely on their tips but she was doing her best with a complete chaotic situation.

*I would like to add that due to my unhappy experience which at Chills has only been this one time, I did call Guest Services and spoke to a very nice young lady Melissa located in Texas who listened for what felt like 20 min. Of my explaining my unhappiness of my visit and she really put a lot of effort and empathy as to what we experienced. I appreciate when a restaurant or company takes responsibility for such issues I...

A chain restaurant with various dishes such as ribs, chicken and seafood dishes. Chicken crispers with honey chipotle, honey habanero or original are available available. The 3 for $10 is a good deal. Dishes include chicken with penne and vegetables, chicken margarita and chicken crispers. You get two sides which can include broccoli, mixed vegetables or corn on the cob, mashed potatoes or french fries. *This deal includes, an appetizer to share, entree and a non-alcoholic drink.They also have good appetizers such as onion blossoms (onion rings), chips and salsa, guacamole dip, etc. They are temporarily not giving the chips and salsa as a free option on your app. You can still order it and pay for it separately. Desserts include cheesecake with strawberry drizzle, chocolate molten cake and a deep dish chocolate chip cookie in a skillet with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is extremely delicious and a popular choice. Otherwise prices are fair. There is sometimes a longer than usual wait to be seated during peak Friday and Saturday night times, as well as other times due to current social distancing protocol. So be prepared for a mandatory waiting time so they can clean and social distance your table from others. The bar area is popular here and features several TV screens. The overall atmosphere here is fun, light-hearted and family friendly *Recent changes made to the menu. I ordered the Chicken Crispers entree with Mexican rice..I always used to get a side of corn on the cob as well. When the dish arrived, there wasn't any corn on the cob. I asked the waitress about this and she informed me.there is now only one side included with this meal..Disappointed here but this is just another cost-cutting...

My fiance and I have eaten at this Chilis plenty of times, both in the restaurant and take out. The take out is generally on point, though we've had some not so pleasant experiences; I've sometimes found myself wondering if the chefs in the kitchen actually completely read the orders. When dining in, the wait staff generally provides good service; however, they often seemed understaffed.

Today was really our last straw with this place. We sat down at about noon to have lunch. Our waitress was very kind and attentive to us the whole time; however, when we received our appetizer, the nachos were stale as can be. We were hungry, so we ate them anyway.

The real issue was the time between when they bought our not so good appetizer to when they bought our entrees was about half an hour; which is terrible wait time anytime.

After waiting all that time, my fiance's frozen margarita was melted, and my food came out cold! I spoke to a manager that knows we are regulars, he expressed his apologies and bought us new food drinks and comped the appetizer.

For the price of our original bill, we could have gone to a nicer place to eat, gotten better food and not waited a half an hour only to have to send it back.
