I am overly impressed with this place. I was drawn in by Instagram food bloggers. I live less than 10 minutes from here and so glad to have found this place. The food here is amazing. I have been here 4 times already in the last 5 days. My goal is to try everything.
First time I came I had the Pho Special and the broth was so flavorful and I was very impressed being that I was used to Pho in Chinatown. The meat inside was good and tender. The noodles were good as well but not very much. I suggest ordering extra noodles. I then tried their steak bahn mi which was delicious. Not very traditional in terms of the meat and flavor, but was very good. Bread was light an crispy. I then came back and got the pork one which also same was not traditional but still very good. Both I had with pickled veggies, cilantro, and jalapeño. Summer rolls (shrimp) with the peanut sauce was so good and fresh! I got this everytime I came so far. My wife had the tom yum and bun bo hue which she said both were excellent. I also tried the lychee shrimp appetizer which was a shrimp ball paste with fried outside. This was confusing because I thought it was going to be lychee flavored, but it was made to look like a lychee. I didn't taste and lychee at all, yet still very good. Mango shrimp salad was freaking awesome!!! Im getting this everytime no doubt! Papaya salad also very good, because I love the fish sauce. The pineapple shrimp fried rice might have been my favorite. 5 large shrimps served with the pineapple fried rice in a sliced pineapple sooooo freaking good. Then the porkchop with rice was what I had today and it was a good size portion and the pork chop was so flavorful and tender.
The drinks here are just as good as their food. Had the mango sago, 3 color drink, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. All 3 were magnificent!
The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. I got to know them over the visits. I got to know Sophia and Adam who were so kind to me and my family. They were very personable and so nice. I say having great customer service is what really makes a business thrive. Food has to be good, but if the customer service isn't then it won't do well. So I am so happy that the service here is top notch!!!
We came here because they are currently running a promotion. I saw on their IG its 50% off all pho or 15% off the rest of the menu. You must mention this to your server or you won't get the deal! I think it runs to mid April. Also, their regular lunch special deals are insane! For 12$ you get an appetizer and an entree or for $15 you get an appetizer, entree, and a drink or side. Im literally coming everyday for lunch hahaha.
All in all this place is a gem! I hope everything stays the same with food quality, cleanliness,...
Read moreRecent visit feedback in August 2025 - We came back several times after our first visit. Menu changed with better options, customer service very good, and we enjoy our visits. We love the soup noodles, pork chop/chicken thigh over rice, all the appetizers, and some of our favorite desserts and drinks especially the Ice/hot Vietnamese coffee and Thai ice tea. They made the drinks so good. We will come back for more. Thank you. ////////// ////// Previous feedback - I could not enjoy my dinner. The table next to me did not care/respect other people at all. A family of 4 with two boys. They kept on jumping, making loud noises, took off shoes with their legs on the seat while holding food eating plus moving around while holding food. All the tables nearby noticed and were disturbed by them. We were so shocked that the owner of the restaurant did not do anything to stop. We are also customers but we could not enjoy the dinner at all. In addition to the non stop jumping kids, their father had to charge his iPad underneath someone’s else table. This is ridiculous. No manner people. The parents did not attempt to stop their kids and the restaurant owner did not do anything. As a result, all customers near this table just want to stay away and leave the restaurant asap. Very...
Read moreLâu Vietnamese Pho is a solid option for Vietnamese food if you are in the area. However, as my ratings speak for the good, this text box is reserved for the bad, so before you continue reading, please understand that no matter how many bad things I might mention my review above still stands, and this is a good place if you’re looking for Vietnamese Pho especially because it’s one of very few on Long Island. That being said, their service is very fast. Too fast, and I found out that they are pouring hot water on your pho seconds before serving it to you. This is not traditional and does not allow time for the pho to steep. Additionally, the music in the dining area is very loud, and causes an even louder environment afterwards. Lastly they have a program where they are paying people for “reviews”. I did receive a gift card for this review, but all opinions are my own. However, if Lâu had seen what I have given them, I am not sure if they would’ve still given me the gift card. I gave them what they honestly deserve, but I feel that some of these other reviewers may have been bought out. Anyways, I did enjoy my overall experience here, and I would still recommend it despite all the complaints I have made. Come see...
