I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vico, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that set the stage for a fantastic meal. The Crab Cakes were a delightful start to our culinary journey. They were perfectly seasoned and had a crispy exterior that gave way to a succulent, flavorful interior. The Craft Cocktails were expertly crafted and complemented our meal beautifully. The mixologist's attention to detail was evident in each sip, making for a memorable drinking experience.
Our server, Stephen, was the epitome of professionalism and attentiveness. He guided us through the menu with expert recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
The Spaghetti with Clams transported us straight to Italy. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the clams were tender and brimming with flavor. But the true star of the evening was the pizza. It was just like the ones you'd find in Italy, with a thin, crispy crust and fresh, high-quality toppings. The authenticity was truly remarkable. The Branzino with its crispy skin was another highlight. It showcased the chef's skill and dedication to perfection in every bite.
We were impressed to learn that Vico upholds the same high standards as Italy, banning GMO seed oils, corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and dyes. This commitment to quality and authenticity resonated with us and added to our appreciation of the restaurant.
To top off our incredible meal, we were treated to biscotti at the end, which sealed the deal. It was the perfect sweet note to conclude our dining experience and left us with a lasting impression. One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the pricing. Given the outstanding quality and authenticity of the food, we found the prices to be surprisingly affordable, making Vico an excellent value for the exceptional dining experience it offers.
In conclusion, Vico is a hidden gem that deserves recognition as one of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining in. From the exceptional food to the outstanding service and commitment to quality, it's a culinary experience that shouldn't be missed. We'll definitely be returning to Vico for more unforgettable meals...
Read moreI wouldn't come back here.
I had wanted to try this place for a while since I like 317. We popped in after 5pm mass.
We were seated and our waiter immediately told us that they make real Italian food, not Italian American food. Okay. He then told us if we wanted to order a pizza we better do it right away because they can't time them well. That seemed odd to me and like a push to get a pizza on every order as an appetizer. My kids wanted pizza so we went with it.
The pizza was nothing special. It was floppy and the cheese came off as soon as you touched it. I make better pizza on my grill at home. My son wouldn't eat it.
We also got fried calamari. It was decent but not crispy enough.
My wife and I had a glass of wine, which at $15 is priced like cocktails are as most places.
My wife and I had the chicken Milanese. The chicken cutlets were pounded very thinly and took up the whole plate. Breaded and cooked very nicely.
My son wanted chicken fingers. They don't have a kids menu and the menu in general is pretty limited. I asked them to cut up a plain chicken cutlet into strips. The waiter told me they won't cut the chicken cutlet up, they'll just bring out the chicken cutlet. Okay. I didn't think that was a big ask.
He didn't love it and wanted ketchup so I asked the waiter for some. He said they don't have ketchup. We all finished our dinner and my son wouldn't eat. I was about to run next door to the Dominican restaurant for ketchup when the waiter came over. He said he'd ask the GM for approval to get ketchup from 317. He came back a few minutes later and said, "we normally can't do this but the GM did give me approval to get ketchup from next door". I'm not sure why this was such a big deal.
My daughter had buttered pasta. She asked for spaghetti and got cavatelli. Whatever. Pasta is pasta. It was good but nothing memorable.
Got the check. They charged us the same $20 for a plain chicken cutlet that they charged us for the chicken Milanese which I thought was ridiculous.
This place just totally missed on everything. The whole experience of the ketchup and price ($200 for a basic Italian dinner for 4) has almost soured me...
Read moreVico is the perfect spot for date night! We were visiting friends from out of town and did a quick Yelp search to find the perfect date night restaurant. We couldn't be happier with our find. What a gem! My husband and I arrived at around 6 PM on a weeknight and the restaurant was busy, but not too busy. We were able to be seated promptly, without much of a wait. The website for the restaurant offers a very convenient option to make a reservation, which we would recommend utilizing. I can definitely see Vico becoming busier as word gets out about this new, amazing restaurant! Vico offers the most amazing cocktails. My husband was SO ecstatic by the selection of cocktails offered on the menu. He ordered both the Seiano and the San Pietro. He loved both, but commented that the San Pietro was delicious and perfect with his meal. We shared both the Ricotta Montata and the Burrata. Both were stunning and very delicious! I ordered the Agnolotti Di Funghi and my husband opted for the Fichi pizza. We shared both (because they both looked so good!) and loved everything about them. The Agnolotti Di Funghi had the most tender pasta filled with a flavorful mushroom and ricotta filling. It was absolutely to die for. My husband's Fichi pizza was sweet (but not too sweet) and was a delightful change from what we're used to when ordering pizza. We finished our meal with cappuccinos and could not have been more impressed. The restaurant was beautiful, the staff delightful, and the food amazing. When we're in town again, I hope to be able to return to sample more of the...
