I had been waiting for this pizzeria to open for almost 2 years and was very excited to try it for the first time. Since it’s opened I’ve been there 6 times - not necessarily because it is great, but because I wanted to wait until I’ve had a full array of their offerings before reviewing it publicly. After a half dozen lunches I can confidently say Daler’s is average at best. At this point, I’ve had almost every type of slice and not a single one stands out. Of the three components - crust, cheese and sauce/toppings the crust is the best part of their pizza. It is consistently cooked properly (although that is a preference and I like mine a little crispy which it always is). Good flavor, not too doughy and again, the best part of their pizza. Their sauce is extremely bland and does nothing for the taste buds at all. To call it forgettable would be an understatement. Their sauce is below average. Period. It needs help. As for their cheese, it tastes good enough but for some reason it doesn’t melt consistently on ANY of their slices and their consistency of the mozzarella is a just little off. It’s brittle and just ok. All in all their pizza is extremely underwhelming and disappointing given how long they teased us before their opening (what exactly happened with that anyway??). Total pizza score is a 2/5. I boosted overall rating to a 3 because their service is good and the atmosphere is nice as it’s new, clean and nicely decorated. I do wish the owners success as they seem like good people and they are locals but they just don’t make...
Read moreI’ll start this off with the bad. I ordered online for delivery but come to find out that’s the way they want you to if you call for delivery. Ordered online and it ends up being through Uber Eats. I don’t have that App so it has you as a guest. Pizza came to over $40 with fees and tip. I get no tracking just an estimate of arrival. My son happens to go outside for something and sees the pizza on the stoop. It was freezing cold when we brought it in. There was no ring at the door or no email/text that it arrived. I called Uber Eats. They were helpful until they found out I ordered as a guest. Then they could do nothing for me. I called Dalers just to let them know Uber Eats is doing them no favors. I honestly wasn’t expecting anything. After hearing my ordeal the hostess put me on with the manager. He was very nice and understanding. He gave me a new pie for pick up. My son who thinks he is the next Barstool’s Dave Portnoy gave it a 7.8. I really enjoyed it also. Only negative thing I have is Uber Eats on their website. Cost and service Zuck worse then Zima. Thanks again to the staff for taking care of me. We’ll be back. Pick up...
Read moreI used to love this restaurant — the food was always great, even if the pasta was a little overpriced. But today’s visit completely changed my opinion. I ordered my usual, added chicken and extra mushrooms, and what I received was half a portion of pasta, no chicken, and everything tossed into a to-go container.
The customer service was terrible — no apology, no effort to make it right. For $24 you’d expect a full, properly made meal, not this. It’s honestly disappointing to see one of my favorite places lose all sense of quality and care. Sadly, I won’t...
