Heirloom Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

My husband and I go out on Saturday night every week. We use reviews to help us choose new restaurants based on service and food quality. The Heirloom Restaurant’s online reviews are inaccurate. I ordered the duck with bordelaise sauce, which tasted like flour and when I got home, I vomited my entire dinner. My husband ordered the filet mignon au poivre with haricot verts. He got regular green beans and commercial fries. Overall, the food was terrible. As for the service, it was as dismal as the food. The waiter was poorly trained and did not know the menu. The manager and staff were constantly running back and forth by our table (in a narrow dining room) with take out orders and we could not relax. This was an overpriced disaster and we do not recommend this...

Thank you to the amazing crew at Heirloom Tavern for a delicious Valentines Day dinner. We are long time fans of this little gem but tonight they knocked it out of the park. The food is always delicious and the staff is always amazing but tonight they were rock stars! COVID 19 has changed the restaurant industry and despite the skeleton crew tonight they were rocking the phones, online orders, uber eats, pre-orders, and restaurant dining. They all deserve a paid vacation and a raise because they never missed a beat, despite the non-stop phone orders and pick up calls! We are beyond thankful for this crew for a delicious meal, a friendly face and kindness. We will continue to visit our favorite...

Came here on a Wednesday night. No wait time. At where I wanted near the window in the high table. Romantic. The waiter was very informative and accommodating. Very nice ambience and atmosphere. Truly feels like you're in a tavern. There is a bar as well. The prices are very modest. There's a special menu and their usual menu. Fresh warm bread and butter/ oil that's complimentary. Loved the special burger! It melted in your mouth! Highly recommend the burger. Had the pinot noir from Oregon, it was nice with the meal. I wasn't a big fan of the asparagus brie sandwich, it was very heavy. But it was q very unique item on the menu, so definitely...
