One of my clients gave me a cupcake from this place so I decided to try their food since I'm vegan. I went to this place on June 9th at 5:34pm. The ambiance of the place is very nice. I ordered 3 tacos and waited a long time for it. After 20 mins I asked update about the tacos and a male staff member said they are making them. During that time I noticed groups of 2-3 people ordering food after me and they received their food BEFORE ME! A female staff member told me there were orders in front of me and asked if I was told a wait time. I told her I was not informed that there was a wait time but despite all that it should not take over 25 minutes to make three vegan tacos. So the woman told me that another lady in the kitchen is in the process of making my tacos at that moment. By then I waited for about another 10 minutes and I sore other people still getting served before I did by then I had enough and I requested my money back. There was a woman who appeared to have either an English or Australian accent (she might be the manager) explain to me that the wait time was based on the food that was in the back and the food that was in the front whatever that meant. As I'm waiting for her to give me the money back a customer walked in and told the staff that he did not order the tacos and was holding the play the three tacos. A female staff member with large knitted hat stated that she realize she gave the tacos to that customer where technically those were Mike tacos. That being said, that particular staff member did not check to see who's order that belong to in the first place which delayed in receiving my order further. By then I just wanted my money back and I was too discouraged to stay there a minute longer. The staff was friendly and they were apologetic and gave me the tacos (the food did not have enough flavor) to take home and I suggested to the manager that they have to reevaluate the point-of-sale ticket items as well as the speed of assembling the food together so we can go out in the timely matter. There's not too many vegan restaurants on Long Island so I was very motivated to trying this place only to receive A 45 minute delay on a simple meal followed by multiple excuses. And the most confusing part of it all was that there were about five staff members working behind the counter and in the kitchen so I still cannot understand why there was a delay in getting the order. The manager was shock when I showed her the time stamp on my receipt and compared to current time when I request the refund. Not looking good for the business and I do not have interest...
Read more🚨 Vegan streets! So 2yrs vegan and finding an all vegan place with just the right vibes and price is hard. Today, welcomed by Shannon (who's not only a client but also a huge promoter of the business). To see a young passionate person is great. First of, the place has very chill vibes. A place you would find in Woodstock or Sedona. The menu was an overload of flavor and love. We never been here so we had a hard time ordering. So here was our choices Vietnamese fries - it was infused with strong Thai spices and meticulous ingredients. The fries hid under the bean sprouts ready to attack your taste buds.
Seoul bowl - I do not like bowls but this was made by the Soul King who took my breathe away. The cauliflower was nicely done as well.
Dolly Parton sandwich - holy Dolly this was top notch! This is a much try. Shannon said we should try to customize and ask for Mac and cheese with it.. But TBH the chefs be Cookin' hard and this one shows how much love is put in.
The snicker smoothie - 🎤 drop.....
Final words - I'm hooked and my wife gives it 10 stars 🌟. This place is a must try to both vegans/plant based foodies and meat eaters alike. Take the menu seriously and try the weekly specials. Expect us back! Plus, much props to...
Read moreI’ve been here multiple times in the past year and the experience is always delightful! It’s a welcoming spot with an array of creative and healthy vegan options.
Most recently, I got the half size of the Backyard BBQ Bowl and my fiance got the Dolly Parton sandwich (crispy Nashville tofu, pickles, cole slaw). I also got an iced matcha and chocolate chip tahini cookies to go.
As someone who is indecisive about what to order, I love that the Backyard BBQ Bowl includes a variety of delicious components — bbq lentils, tofu, mac and cheese, pickled onions, cole slaw, kale, and plantains. The lentils are especially tasty and mix well with the other items in the bowl!
I had only one bite of my fiancé’s sandwich, but the tofu was perfectly crispy and complemented the pickles well! My only slight critique is that the sandwich is a bit small for the price, so it’d be nice if it came with a side like chips, potatoes, or salad.
The chocolate chip tahini cookie was soft and tasty, too! The cookie flavor paired nice with the sea salt on top.
All in all, I absolutely recommend this spot! The staff was friendly and helpful. We will...
