It has been a little while since I left the review below. Since then.... we have been disappointed. After years of ordering out from Marios, at least once a week we ordered once in the last 6 to 8 weeks. We ordered to give it one last try before getting Italian and Chicken Caesar Salads elsewhere. For example, the small chicken caesar salad was delicious and had as much chicken as I would have put in it if I made it myself. The salad got smaller 3 times, so small that when I finished, I still needed some thing to eat. The pastas with cheese are way too salty which happens when cheaper cheese is used although that is a personal opinion not necessarily fact. Nothing we ordered was as good as it was. Staff previously very friendly, now it feels like they want to get me my food and get me out. Am I supposed to be happy they just want to get me my food, perhaps.... if the food was better. Another person said the higher prices are understandable but quality should not suffer. I agree higher prices are understandable, but reasonably higher would be understandable not price gouging like most businesses are doing. Just because many are charging unfairly does not make it acceptable. We live nearby in Syosset so it is extremely disappointing that I need to travel a bit to get takeout Italian. Chris and Tony's is just a few doors down from Marios and is a good option, but a bit pricey for a quick, middle of the week, takeout dinner. Hopefully my old review will be current again someday but I will wait until I read a review about it.... *OLD REVIEW BELOW * "Good sauce, delicious pasta and great Pizza, I highly recommend .... We have been going to Marios for years. However, pizza and pasta has been salty lately....but...

I ordered Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm, Large Pie with half pepperonis, Fried Mozzarella, Fried Zucchini, Penne Ala Vodka with mushrooms and onions. The food was okay. I think the pizza was the best. The eggplant parm portion was very generous enough to feed 2. The Penne Ala Vodka could probably do without onions. The Fried Zucchini was mostly breading and unfortunately of the things I ordered the most unacceptable dish, I feel like they should have included some kind of dipping sauce for the zucchini. The pasta seemed a little on the softer side as our family is used to eating pasta more al dente. Overall Mario's gets great marks for the pizza, but on the pasta and sides I ordered it could have been better. For the price point to quality ratio Mario's is sliding down a peg in our family's go to...
Read moreThis place has the RUDEST worker. My second time going (I went back because the food is decent and I can go for a quick bite) but each time, the service just throws me off and makes me not want to go back. They should remember that dining experience is good food + good service combined. The first time they were rude, I thought it was just one worker but the second time, it just proved to me that they don't properly train their workers to provide the best customer service. The girl who took my order rolled her eyes when I told her there was an error on the receipt last time. You make the mistake and then you give me an attitude? On top of that, I'm the customer paying for your food and service. It seemed like she didn't even want to be there. I can understand that but don't take that out on the customers. FYI, she had red hair. I don't know her name because I got so mad and just threw out the receipt on my way out....
