I’ve been to this nail salon many times and usually had a good experience but today was rough. I went to get what i expected to be a fill-in on nail extensions I already had but was told since it was dip powder it needed to be fully removed. ok whatever, i am new to getting my nails done regularly. while waiting for the powder to dissolve I decided to get my eyebrows waxed. This went fine except somehow wax got in my hair, which was very difficult to get out at home. Then, it was time to get my nails done (almost a full hour after i arrived mind you) It seemed like the woman who did my nails, Diana had never done a manicure before. She seemed in a rush, was multitasking and picking up the phone (which is fine and i didn’t really mind but in retrospect i should’ve seen as a red flag). She clipped me several times with the electric file and the traditional file (which this and the buffer both looked like they had been used on several customers before me) to the point where i ripped my hand away from pain. i am used to hating the nail file and feeling uncomfortable because i have sensory issues but come on, burning pain (that is still there hours later) is a little ridiculous. Then she placed my nail extensions on very carelessly, with many of them crooked or completely uneven with the other hand. then, there was a problem with the powder (apparently) and i sat there while she redid my nails over and over because the “powder was no good”. Other employees came over several times to check on my nails, which made me more than a little nervous. All I wanted was tips with blue polish. I knew it looked bad but by the time this was over i just wanted to go home. Overall i left with with a crappy, uneven, grainy manicure, 2.5 hours of my life i’ll never get back, out $80 and my dignity. The girl was nice but come on. A heads up would’ve been nice if she’s in training or something. I will never come back to this...
Read moreI decided to treat myself for my birthday. I called before I went there and asked it they would be able to do a full set in an hour, and I was told that would be "no problem". Maya started immediately after I arrived. I asked for coffin shaped uv gel with a matte finish. 45 minutes into getting my nails done I asked if she would be able to finish in time. She said she would need an additional 20 minutes. Despite being on my lunch break, I let her finish. She had to have another tech assist with polishing my nails. Frankly, she polished my nails as nicely as my child would. When I finally got back to work (1 hr 15 min later) I looked at my nails and they were horrible! Each nail was shaped differently, most of them were crooked, they were all different thicknesses, and the polish was uneven. I went back after work (5:30), showed her my nails and asked her to repair them. I had to wait 30 minutes just for her to blame me for how they looked! She insisted that she did exactly what I asked for, that all my fingers were crooked, and after arguing with her for a few minutes she finally removed the polish and began working on them. She filed one hand and I could immediately tell she had no idea how to fix them. I asked her several times if it would be easier to shape them square, she insisted that wouldn't be necessary. After another argument she piled on a thick, uneven layer of uv gel and made them square. Another hour had gone by and my nails were thicker, square versions of what they were originally. at 7:15pm I finally left with unpolished, uneven, thick, crooked nails. By the following Wednesday I only had 8 nails left and 3 lifting. I will never go there again. This was by far, the worst service I have ever received in my life!!! I spent most of my birthday there with nothing to show for it and $60 less in my pocket. Spare yourself....
Read moreI used to go to this salon when it was under different ownership, but stopped going there when they sold it and I wasn't happy with the new owners. After getting my gel powder done by another salon and having them chip within a few days, I got tired of wasting my money and went back to Millenium. I was happy to find out they were under new ownership. I didn't have an appointment and they put me with Billy, who promised me that if my polish didn't stay on and perfect for at least three weeks, I should come back and he would refund my money. I couldn't believe that they would stay on for three weeks without chipping because the other place had done such a horrible job multiple times, so bad, I was ready to go back to regular polish. Needless to say Billy did my nails, they came out perfect, and lasted three weeks plus. There was even a time where I couldn't get there after the third week to get them re-done due to a family member being in the hospital and except for some nail growth, the polish lasted close to six weeks!!! I was sold. The pedicures are great. Now I make my appointments with Billy and my sister-in-law comes with me and uses his wife,Maya who is also really good! Billy knows all the colors by number, knows what's going to look good on my hands, what's popular, and did exactly what I wanted for my nephew's wedding last month. It may not be the greatest picture, but in person, they looked gorgeous and I got multiple compliments on them even after the wedding....
