Whenever I bring someone to Mr Beery’s for the first time, they almost always say, “Where the hell are you taking me to?!” Within an hour their attitude has changed and they love it as much as I do. They meet Steve Beery and they can’t wait to come back. It’s a dive bar with a great attitude, socially conscious, regular folks as clientele and beer and liquor choices that are second to none. I can not recommend enough that you give this place a try...( and then buy me a beer and say “My G-d, you were right!” like so many have before)....

So I went to Thursday open mic night. For all you comedians like myself that have no idea it is NOT a comedy open mic. It's a music open mic. I sincerely appreciate the time cuz they didn't care that I was a comedian. But don't expect the attention that you think you deserve. These people want to listen to tunes and drink. As far as music's concerned, GREAT vibe. If you're an up-and-coming musician, this place is very nurturing and supportive.
