New Hot Breads — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Disaster! AVOID at all cost! I never write reviews but our experience with this place was so poor I had no choice but to write this review. Ordered a cake for a baby shower. Showed the employees working there the picture of the cake we wanted who stated they would be able to make that exact cake. We specifically asked if they would be able to make the exact cake and Hot breads said they would be able to. If you guys are not good at designing cakes, just tell the customers, don’t agree to do something you’re not good at. The cake was for a special moment in someone’s life and it looked nothing like the original cake. When we went to go pick it up, they charged the full amount of money for the cake (which was definitely overpriced for the kind of cake they designed) and AFTER we paid is when they told us they messed up the cake. Not only did that cake look horrible, but they charged us the full amount before even telling us they messed up.

POOR Customer service, POOR quality and if you’re looking for fancy cakes for special occasions- AVOID AT ALL COST! We will make sure to tell all our friends and family.

Horrible customer service, pretty much thieves that just want your money and don’t even have the courtesy to apologize for messing up the cake and then charging full price for a disaster of a cake they baked. Thank you for ruining our special day. Never again will our family and friends be going to this place.

Just a suggestion, please learn to be polite to your customers because right now you guys are nothing but rude with nasty attitude & terrible...

Decided to try their cakes for Mother's Day.Placed an order for the desired cake with the message to be picked up the same day in the evening and when we arrived to pick up,they were clueless and looking around like we never made an order.The service is the worst,taking so much time for orders and pick up requests.Finally when they whipped up a quick cake from the kitchen,they almost gave it away to another customer in queue.I literally waited 20 minutes or more to pick up a pre-ordered cake!! We also tried their Bombay Sandwich and Kathi roll,both had the same filling and tasted just similar! The staff literally roams around attending to I don't know what but customers are left to wait without any attention to needs or details.The seatings are congested and no one even asks if we require anything,I had small kids (not even a friendly request for a high chair!!) By far the worst customer service for any café in Hicksville.The cake was okay,nothing extraordinary.A good restaurant will attend to their customers with care and professionalism.This place lacks both, and I won't be back to where the only idea is to sell your items like a robot and not have a sense of customer satisfaction...

If you are vegetarian & looking for veg options then this place is the best place !!! This is my marriage anniversary & I want to order the heart ❤️ shaped cake on my special day ... I was trying to find this kind of service but I failed Bcz nobody can customize at last minute...then my closet family member told me to go there ...to fulfill my wish ..when I went there I asked to them they say yes right way ....I ordered it ..& I was also stressed to I don't know how it's gonna come out !!! But the day I went to picked up ommggg !! I can't explain I was so happy to see this yummy fresh fruit heart shaped cake I got surprised bcz the brother who made it I don't know how to thank him I was likeeeee no words ...my expectations was less than reality he did amazing job Thnku alottt ...I highly recommend this place ...also the second the cake was also from here my other family member bought it from here too ....so can imagine how good...
