Let me tell you a story of the time I went to Botto Brothers Hardware. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was reaching the sixth hour of being put through the cavalries of war by my wife. I painted not one, not two, but three rooms, but lest the hellhound knew no mercy, "DO THE FOURTH ROOM" she mustered, as my last can of paint wept dry. Something needed to be done, and quick, or else I'd be checking in to an all night stay at the dog pound this evening. "BOTTO!", I exclaimed, as if stricken by the power of God Himself, an answer to my problems. But even so, I had my doubts and concerns. "Will they be able to match the color of my paint precisely?" I thought, for if my wifes hawkish eyes caught even a fraction of a percent difference between the old and new, I'd be donezo. I walked through the front door of Botto and my senses were overwhelmed. The crisp fresh smell of a midsummers night met my nose. It was delightful, the shelves, pristine. Not a single item out of line. And just in that moment as if it were Jesus Christ Himself sent down to guide me to the promised land, a rather handsome Asian employee greeted me asking me the words I've been wanting to hear my entire like. "Hi, how can we help you". His voice sounded like my father in my youth. It was helpful. Sincere. ...Honest. A tear almost left my eye but I gathered my composure and informed him of my dire crisis. Without a second to waste the Botto employee walked right on over to the paint stand holding what was left of the paint I had left and he started punching in the numbers on the paint desk console. His fingers glided across the screen, his focus unwavering, like maestro the rhythm of his movements were almost memorizing. Then next thing I knew paint was coming out of the machine and into a fresh bucket. "Did he do it?" I said to myself. "Its not possible" I thought, there's no way he would be able to match my color exactly, but before I knew it the bucket was in my hands. I was shaking. In my hands I was holding my fate. It needed to be perfect, is such a thing even possible, I thought. I completed my checkout, and as I left I heard the words "Have a nice day", and I stopped exactly where I was as all the stress of the future left my body. "I will have a nice day" I thought. I was reminded of the Asian employee whom my life was at the whim of. I had nothing to worry about, I remembered my Faith, I remembered the sign I saw that day. He may not be God, but God was using him as a vessel, in order to guide, in order to save my life. I had nothing to stress about. I headed home and got straight to work painting. I couldn't even say how long I spend painting those walls, it was all a blur. But then... "It looks great" I heard from a female voice behind me as she proceeded to walk out of the room saying "Hurry it up, I made cookies today". I cried. Like a child, I wept. I've never felt so appreciated in my life before. I may not know if it was God I saw that day, but that Asian man who works at Botto Brothers Hardware, he might as well be. I am forever thankful for Botto Brothers Hardware, and I will never forget the happiness I felt that day. I will always do all my local hardware shopping here. I will always be loyal to the place that saved me that fateful day. I will never forget their kindness. God bless that Asian man and his place...
Read moreSnotty, useless 20 somethings Manning the store who are completely useless and have major attitude to boot. Absolutely ZERO interest in helping a customer solve a problem. Didn’t even look at the part I brought in before saying he couldn’t help me . Also very unprofessional with their obnoxious foul mouthed banter between them in front of customers. A lady came in to have keys made and they were cursing the whole time they cut her keys. This store definitely needs better trained employees who actually WANT to...
Read morePrices are very high here. $40 for 10 gloves found to be a little insane understand everyone's got to make a living but that's some crazy mark up. Being a trade technician should be about half that cost and they could still make a pretty good profit. For example I really needed rubber gloves 20$ for these thin ones almost same as grease monkey grade for 10$ is average. Guess if you're in a pinch and really need something expect to pay double. Otherwise it's a nice...
