Red Volpe — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

I was not sure what Red Volpe was .. so I went in and the scents had me hooked. On my first visit I grabbed a few slices to take home; Neopolitan (of course), Grandma (main staple), Korean BBQ (this Flushing Girl was IN LOVE) and Chipotle Chicken (Best I've ever had!). So I got to thinking .. Let's get the girls together and give this new business, some business. Well, there was 15 of us and we each ordered a different plate so we could gab and try some really fresh, top quality ingredients food (that we didn't have to cook or clean up after) .. Well Let Me Tell You, the seafood was fresh and not over seasoned, The Veal was so tender, THe Gnocchi was like a pillow of happiness, The Alfredo Sauce was not heavy but oh so creamy, The Marsala Sauce is just right, not too starchy and not too thin as it clings to each piece of chicken and mushroom. I tried a few salads too The Caesar Salad is to die for, I believe they should be bottling their homemade dressing, the Gorgonzola Salad has my heart too! I'm not a big vegetable person so I can't tell you first hand but the girls loved the Eggplant Rollatini, they said it was firm and cooked to perfection .. the ones that had the Primavera said the Veggies did not get lost or mushy. We also had one of each dessert ... Let Me Tell You ..... Get a delivery, Do Take Out or better yet ... Sit down at a table the food is amazing and ALL of the staff really do care about your experience while dining with them. ... You...

My family and I ate here at Red Volpe last week. The restaurant looks great I like the decor. We ate here when they had a soft opening, we had cheese pizza it was very good! We’ve been back for pizza a few times since, but never had a chance to enjoy a dinner.The waitresses Steph and Eskarlin, were both very pleasant.very good Italian bread and butter brought to our table. I started off with small bowl pasta fagioli soup. It was Delicious, it came out super hot just like I asked for it. Perfect! My grandson got an order of meatballs it had 2 large meatballs, he liked them, he is very picky eater. My husband loves Appetizers he had mozzarella sticks. He liked them a lot too. His Dinner choice was rigatoni bolognese, very large portion, Very good, nice thick meaty sauce. I had the eggplant parmigiana dinner, with a choice of pasta or salad I choose salad! Also very good! Eggplant was lightly breaded, (I like the eggplant cut a bit thicker) The eggplant was paper thin. Which is how it usually is at Italian restaurants it had Plenty of delicious sauce and mozzarella cheese. Delicious!!! Also a large portion. We didn’t get dessert, too full from dinner, but the desserts did look amazing! Next time, for sure. We will definitely be going back to Red Volpe again especially when it’s too hot too cook Italian at home. Glad to have a nice local restaurant to go to with good Italian food! Family place to enjoy. I miss Three Brothers. I do not think I have ever wrote a non positive review but there is always a first. Ordered in a few times. Shrimp Parmesan hero was really good. Twice we tried the pies and were not happy with the sauce but to each its own. The reason for this review is I actually stopped in to pick up a few slices.. There were 3 guys behind the counter. I barely got a glance when I walked to the counter and then I stood there about 30 seconds as they continued there conversation. I did not get the attention I thought a new customer would get so I just asked for a couple of slices, interrupting there conversation which lasted another 15 seconds before one of them decided to help me. No other conversation took place but when I was given the price and paid it, Never heard a thank you or anything that resembled customer appreciation. Maybe they see this and realize there shortcomings. To much competition not to go the extra yard..
