SoBol Massapequa Park — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

I come to this location for acai bowls at least 3 times a week. I will have to go to the Lindenhurst or bethpage location from now on because EVERY TIME I come in here the staff completely ignores my existence. At first I thought it was due to being busy & allowed them an extensive amount of time to acknowledge me but after going twice this week with it primarily empty and the staff constantly servicing the person behind me I’ve decided I can use my dollars elsewhere. This has happened on multiple occasions with different staff. I understand the demographic of the community in which you are located, however, my money is just as green, even if my skin is black. Today I asked the staff is there a specific way that I should be picking up my order in order to not be ignored, after an interesting glance at the other staff there, She stated she just didn’t see me . This used to be my favorite solbol spot but after today i never really want to return. Normally i get half green and half acai with no granola. I was denied and charged as extra acai when i still wanted the same amount in the cup. I settled for green, no big deal i guess just not what i wanted and always get. when i recieved it it wasn't even edible. Like ice in a cup. I have had my bowl in the heat for 30 min in my car heater and their is still ice chuncks. It just put a big damper on my day. If you want an acai bowl now i would suggest any other location...

Much like the review from Djkitty 2 months ago, I experienced a bowl that was practically all ice yesterday. We got the spirulina bowl. I tried to excuse the ice as it was the end of the night and my boyfriend and I had ordered right before closing. However, I am sad to see I am not the only customer to experience this. I would definitely like to see this solbol improve their acai bowl texture as an icey acai bowl is painful on the teeth and loses its flavor. Otherwise the peanut butter and granola...
