Made a tentative reservation but phone operator told me we had to leave within a hour if he gave us the reservation - ok - I was clear on that then he felt he needed to remind me of this again, and said that if we forget during dinner he will have to remind me of that we are on a time crunch. Then all the sudden he told me at the very end that he felt better if he would make the open table reservation himself on my behalf but it wouldn’t confirm real until I logged in and secured it with my credit card. The last time I secured a reservation by credit was at a Michelin star restaurant in NYC. He was rude and unprofessional. After this ridiculous phone call I decided I was not going to go thru with the reservation and I would not secure the reservation by credit card on open table. Obviously by not securing the reservation by his demand of credit card, the restaurant would obviously see that I was no longer coming. All the sudden 3 minutes before my unsecured reservation he starting calling me repeatedly and threatening to report my account to open table as a no show. We been there before. Food is mediocre, service is ok. The place is extremely small. We ended up at our local favorite “2 spring” The best restaurant in Oyster Bay. Hey Stellina this is a small town. Try being nicer. I’m going to report this vendor to Open Table, and to town code enforcement in town...
Read moreFood just ok but dinning experience worst. It seemed we were being rushed from the moment we sat down. It's nice not to have to wait for your food once u order. But it would be nice not to have your butter and side dishes cleared before the entree. The resteraunt portrays itself as fine dinning with some dishes over $59. However when trying to order desert a condescending waiter Peter was trying to rush us into ordering. When my sister asked what they had he stated "what you want me to tell you everything thats on the menu? You only had an hour to read it." He might of thought he was being funny but he was insulting. Then Peter brought over a box of teas and said "I'll just leave it on the table because she will take an hour to pick." For portraying fine dinning with expensive dishes customers should not be the subject of amusement for the staff. The only staff that was a gem was a waitress Faith. She had a smile that was genuine like her wonderful personality. She even ran out to the parking lot to give me my cell phone I left on the table. Without making fun of me. She's the only reason I gave the place 2 stars...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I’ve had in my many years of dining in Long Island. The hostess (not sure if she was the owner or not) was EXTREMELY rude. We ordered a pasta dish that was one of the worst dishes I have had the misfortune of tasting and when we complained they took the dish back immediately. We then ordered another dish only for the pasta to be undercooked, if you can’t cook pasta in an Italian restaurant what are you doing? To top it all off, the hostess came up to us and was very impolite and combative. She insisted that she would charge us regardless. This lack of hospitality would not be accepted at a McDonald’s least of all a restaurant as overpriced as this. I hope they learn to treat their customers better and equally, this is a hospitality business and people expect good service and good food and this has neither. There are plenty of wonderful Italian restaurants on the island that you should take your business to and this is...
