Vinny's Deli & Pasta — Restaurant in Town of Pawling

We have only been in Pawling for a year and a half and are still putting down roots. We first stepped inside Vinny’s as a stop on the Champagne Stroll in December and we met Vinny and his lovely wife, as well as receiving a generous serving of antipasti. It was such a warm welcome! It’s taken a while for us to visit again, but we decided to stop by today and get the famous Steak Margarita sandwich. We were not disappointed! We savored every bite, truly tasting the love that Vinny pours into his work. Once again we received such a warm welcome and the only thing better than the food was Vinny’s genuine graciousness. This family owned, cozy, Italian deli is the heart of this place. Everyone loves Vinny’s and their awesome staff. They have everything a typical deli would have but MORE. Fresh mozzarella, ready to eat meals, pre ordered event apps/cold cuts/cheese platters and more!

It’s a great spot to support local and to run out of you need quick fresh ingredients for your next meal. Delicious fresh mozzarella and everything you need for your Sunday dinner. Fresh produce available. Pasta. Sweets. Everything you can think of and more. Hole in the wall and social distancing is enforced as well as limited capacity.

Vinny's Deli in Pawling, NY, left me disappointed with their Italian combo sandwich. For $12, I expected a hearty sub, but what I got was a tiny sandwich on subpar bread—nothing like the crusty Bronx bread I hoped for. The meat portion was embarrassingly skimpy, barely enough to taste the flavors of the classic Italian combo. I’d happily pay $15 for a properly stuffed sandwich with quality ingredients, but this felt like a rip-off. The deli itself has a cozy vibe, but the sandwich didn’t deliver.
