I got a Shrimp bento box here. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The description didn't include the 2 dumplings that were included, so that was a nice surprise. It also had a very small portion of some sort of cucumber side, which also wasn't noted in the description. It also came with a spicy tuna roll. It wasn't the greatest roll I've ever had, but I thought the price was very fair. The salad was crisp and fresh. The dumplings had lost a bit of their crisp because they were sitting in soy sauce - honestly, I preferred it - I know most probably wouldn't. The miso soup was excellent. It did have tiny pieces of tofu in it, which I thought was low quality, but they were so tiny, and so limited, I don't imagine anyone would notice them if they were not focusing on them. I'm no expert on white rice, but I thought it was fluffy and very good. It certainly wasn't dried out at all, which would be a huge turnoff for me. From paying to getting my food, it was about 10 minutes. For a what appears to be a mom and pop type restaurant, I thought this was very reasonable. They seem to be criminally unknown. Very slow. I am going to have to go back and try some different things to get a fair rating. The staff (the individual I interacted with) was very friendly, and there was no accent barrier, which I struggle with sometimes. When I asked how long they have been around, I was told about 12 years. Despite being on a major road, I had no idea they existed. This place is definitely on my radar now, though. I would give it a solid 4.5 stars. Atmosphere brings it down to a 4 star overall, but I really don't care about atmosphere if the food and price are good, which it was here. And let's be honest - most of their business seems to be takeout.

My wife and I stopped in after hearing good things and seeing the 4.8 rating. It can be best described as a specialty Asian store with prepared food. It has a lot of the things you can’t find at Wegmans but have seen online. Things from brands of noodles to candy to other prepared food. We came for the sushi but enjoyed looking around and saw a few items we searched elsewhere for in the past or bought on Amazon for the girls. The store is small the menu is at the register and also on the wall behind the register. They have things very similar to pure sushi restaurants. I got the sushi sashimi combo which is my goto at all sushi restaurants and my wife chose two rolls. We ate at the location at a few tables they have off in a side room for this purpose. The food comes out in to go containers similar to what you would get from Wegmans whether you eat in or not. The only complaint I had was I wanted a dish to put the soy sauce in. We used the lids of the containers to empty the packets in and that worked. I love that they have regular sodium soy sauce. Too many places have low sodium and I prefer regular for a stronger flavor. The food was great. All of the fish was so fresh. The sashimi tuna was some of the best quality of tuna I’ve had at a sushi place in a long time. The soup and salad was as expected and good. Check the menu they have some good platters if you focus on mainly rolls instead of sushi or sashimi. They say allow an hour for these platters. I’ll try it sometime and see how that goes. We will be back. For those of you who like to drink sake with your sushi get this to go because that’s not an option here. It’s worth a stop don’t let the no frills turn you off!

Pretty decent sushi and bento place. I came here Friday evening for some quick dinner. The place is small and limited in parking spots and few tables for dine in. They sell some groceries besides food, price is tiny bit higher than big Asian groceries. I got spicy tuna rolls and chicken teriyaki. It took less than 10 minutes for the food to get ready. Tuna roll was big and rice is soft. Chicken teriyaki was okay. I enjoyed the salad came with the meal. Overall it was a good dinner.

The second star is only because the food is decent, but nothing to write home about. It's about as typical as any other sushi place in Rochester.

The other lack of stars come from the complete lack of consideration for me as a customer when they got my order completely wrong. I get home only to find the wrong specialty roll and a spicy tuna roll missing from my bag. I rush back over hoping it was just left on the counter, but I'm told by the woman at the counter that I'm wrong and they did not mess up my order. Next, I'm going back home to grab the bags and containers to show to them. They replaced what was wrong, but failed to apologize or compensate for their failure of service.

She even went so far to say that as I had never been there before, so she did not believe me. She basically believed I was trying to steal an extra roll. The chef told me I should have brought the food with me the first time. Well, yeah, but that was my attempt at hoping it was as simple as a roll being left behind. How do you forget what rolls you just made and put into a bag 10...
