I first brought my phone here on 3/13/24 with a small crack on the side of the phone. I was given the option of an aftermarket screen replacement or a premium replacement and was told the only difference would be whether or not the fingerprint reader would work. I chose the premium phone screen and had to pay a $140 deposit for them to order the part. I was told the part would arrive the following Tuesday.
3/19 I returned and there was 1 phone already open on the table before me. I waited 2 hours for the repair (many signs saying fix in 15 to 45 minutes) and then decided to purchase a screen protector as well. When the phone was handed back to me it had no sim card. The worker said oops and took it back and put the sim card in. I paid $165 more.
3/20 I noticed that my finger print scanner stopped working and the brightness would randomly go up and down. I tried updating drivers, restarting the phone, and taking off the screen protector; everything to make sure it wasn't an issue on my end.
3/21 I returned to the store to show them the issues around 5pm but the store was closed (signs on the door and online say they are open until 8pm)
3/22 I returned to the store and met the owner who upon looking at my phone realized that it was an aftermarket screen that was put on my phone by his employee. He claimed that his employee also only charged me for the aftermarket screen so in order to get the proper screen I would have to pay $43 more. There are no prices anywhere but I was told this was a discount and that I would have to wait until the following Tuesday for the part to come in.
3/26 I brought the phone to the store once again and was met with the original employee. He claimed that he ordered the correct screen the first time but that the manufacturing company sent the wrong part. I was the first phone there and waited an hour. When placing a new screen cover on my phone he cracked it onto the phone and had to start over with a new screen cover. Again I was handed back my phone with no sim card and had to hand it back to the employee to put in.
3/27 My cameras no longer worked and my Bluetooth would disconnect. I called around to 3 other phone repair companies and was quoted an average of $650 to fix these issues (my S21 ultra is only worth $300-400 brand new). I returned to the store as soon as I could get out of work and was told I would have to leave as the boss wasn't there and they closed in 30 mintes so there was nothing they could do for me.
3/28 I returned and waited 10/15 minutes for the boss to arrive. I told him about the quotes from the other companies and asked for my money back. He said he wanted to open up my phone and I said absolutely not you already worked on it twice and did more damage to it than the phone is worth. He said that he could only return my money if he put the cracked screen back on my phone because it was not "fair" due to them purchasing parts and the labor. I replied what wasn't fair was the hundreds of dollars more of damage that was done to my phone than I paid; not to mention my time, my driving to the store, my time without a working phone, and missing out on revenue at work due to not having a working phone. He continued to argue with me and refuse to give me my money back until I left.
I brought my phone to another company after all of this and they tried 3 new cameras before letting me know that unfortunately the problem was deeper; iFixandRepair damaged the motherboard which would be even more costly and difficult to replace than $650. There was no waiting on parts and since they couldn't do anything for me they didn't charge me a cent.
I ended up having to go to another store to buy a brand new phone.
I learned a very expensive lesson; don't trust iFixandRepair and the fact that they have multiple locations or good Google ratings. Check out their name on BBB; they have a bunch of...
Read moreI had gotten my iPhone 11 screen and battery replaced here on 6/23. I thought everything was fine until a week or so later when I started noticing the screen was not responsive to touch and the only way to fix it was to turn the phone screen off and on again. It just kept getting worse and more annoying.
Wasn’t sure why this was happening until I Googled it and found out its because of a cheap/defective screen.
I reached back out to this place who fixed my phone and of course they ignored me and never responded back.
I decided to buy my own replacement screen from the Apple distributor myself and replaced it and now it works great. Replacing a phone screen is not terribly difficult but I just did not feel like doing it, but should have originally because this guy uses cheap/defective replacement screens. At least get an Incell screen which only costs $20 and comes from an Apple recommended distributor. And have the decency to contact your customers back when they reach out to you. Safe to say I will not be coming back nor would I recommend this place to...
Read moreThis is just a factual review. Took my tablet in for a broken screen repair. When I came to pick it up, the person was completely asleep at the desk. My tablet was still wrapped in rubber bands and tape. Some tape still stuck in the screen. Got it home with glue spilled over the edges. Figured, or we'll, as long as it work. Upon using it I noticed there was glue over the front camera, making it no longer usable. And the digitizer is now broken as well. The S-pen no longer works on the whole screen. Meaning they may have broken a wire or something came unattached inside during repair. I do not trust to take it back there. So I am now out over $150. Consider this a lesson learned. I Hope this helps others make the...
