My review was posted on the restaurant's Facebook page yesterday. However, knowing some folks may not use Facebook, I decided to post on Google as well. Sorry for the long ready, but felt the detail was needed.

It has been a long time since we have gone to someplace decent. Most place nowadays have no life or passion in the dishes they create. Just dull, common, "every day" generic food. So we stay home because, well ... we can do better. However, that all changed when we took a drive to La Belle Vita in Webster. Nothing could prepare us for the meal we were about to have.
Let's just start from the beginning. From the moment we walked through the doors (and up the stairs), we were greeted by welcoming staff. We were directed to a small table for two, in the corner, for the evening. The ambiance was set with candlelight, soft music and elegant table settings. This seemed to be the dinner decor, however the luch maybe a little less formal. I could see where both a romantic dinner for two or a business brunch would be possible.
On this occation my guest and I happen to come for dinner. We were celebrating, so a full three course meal was our intention. Our waitresses took no time getting to us and assisting with our order. She was very pleasant answering questions and offering different suggestions.
We started off with drinks and an appetizer. The Margaretas and Martinis were smooth and flavorful. Nothing overly sweet or potent in liquor, but definitely did the trick. We chose "Bada Bing Shrimp" as our starter. This consisted of crispy shrimp drizzled with sweet-and-sour sauce nestled on a bed of red leaf lettuce. This is the perfect tease before the main course.
Our entrées... My guest and I found it difficult to choose, but we eventually found a dish that met our liking. I went with the "Scallop con Funghi " and my guest went with the chicken pasta dish of the night. Clearly I was too enthralled with my dish because I did not notice much of their's. My dish, however, consisted of scallops, mushrooms, spinach , goat cheese in a truffle sauce over a bed of freshly made fettuccine. If you have never experienced fresh pasta before then you are in for a treat. They make their own pasta daily for same day orders (I asked)! Now add in the earthiness of the mushrooms, creaminess of the truffle sauce and the blend of goat cheese and you have a dish that is next level!
With a dinner like that, how could it get any better? Well it did... because we ordered desserts. My guest decided on the chocolate mousse and I the chocolate lasagna. Both dishes were rich in the cocoa flavor and had a silky-smooth finish. A true indulgent to experience. No crumb left behind!
As I said in the beginning, nothing could prepare us for the meal we were about to have. This experience was a five out of five stars. However, if I could give more I would. I want to thank ALL that worked this evening... the cooks, waitresses, bar tender, etc. You all did a wonderful job! I look forward to...

Here’s what happened…
Our reservation was at 6:30 and we didn’t get our food until 8 o’clock- which was fine, because we in no rush and it’s our five year anniversary so we thought ok it’s fine….. food must be that good that it’s being made fresh so it will be worth it! While I was ordering I specifically said please don’t put any cheese on the chicken Parm because my child has a lactose allergy and I’m breastfeeding so it will cause her to projectile vomit- and she’s only a month old and will be in severe pain, and our server said “No problem, I’ll let the chef know” so when I did get my food, I cut the chicken and saw a big string of cheese so I flipped the chicken over and they literally just barely scrape the mozzarella cheese off of the chicken, flipped it over, covered it in sauce and then served it to me, so I went up to the hostess/manager and told her what happened and said that I thought it was really shady that instead of just fixing the chicken and telling me hey it’s gonna take a little longer because we did put cheese on it but will remake it…. Nope... They tried to cover up their mistake instead of just being honest… Then when I went to go re-order, they told me that the breading has cheese in it so I decided just to go with a 8 ounce steak fillet, and they told me that they can’t do that unless I’m willing to wait an extra 40 minutes for my food so me and my husband told them that we are just gonna leave and asked for the bill and gave back his dinner- mind you he didn’t even cut into his chicken French because he wanted to wait for me- so we can eat together- and they still made him pay for it- they asked me if I wanted pasta because that would be the quickest thing for them to be able to make for me but they didn’t even try to help with any other meal… it was really disappointing especially because it’s our Anniversary- so we paid for his chicken French and two drinks and left- very...
Read moreLa Bella Vista recently moved to a new, bigger location on Empire Blvd, close to AMC theaters. I always worry when something that "works," changes, because that is often the beginning of the end. 😉 Fingers crossed this is not the case with La Bella Vita's new space. From my first look, I think they are going to do great here! I am a "sit at the bar" eater, and this new location affords a MUCH bigger bar and attractive surroundings. It feels warm and homey with a modern vibe. I was psyched when I walked in to see the upgrades and increased seating.
As far as food is concerned, you will see a great menu with an assortment of Italian favorites, and a nice selection of Wood-fired pizzas.
We had great service at the bar and enjoyed a couple of glasses of the House Pinot Noir with our light meal. The pizza was excellent. A nice crust with the right amount of crunchiness. The two of us ordered a bruschetta appetizer (lots of delicious bread, but maybe not the right start to pizza) and had a couple of pieces of pizza to take home for lunch the next day.
If you've been to La Bella Vita before, visit their new location. If you haven't, you should. You will have a lovey evening in a place that feels...
