Blitz Bar Room — Restaurant in Town of Perinton

This is your standard bar and grill type food in a big plaza type setting. It’s exactly as I expected except for one thing… After looking over the menu I saw they had a fish fry (according to the menu board this is a daily special) and after deciding I didn’t want a burger or wings I decided to order it.

This was one of if not the best fish fry I have ever had. The outside of the fish was completely crunchy with no soft or “wet” areas anywhere. The fish wasn’t pulling away from the crust on the inside like some do. The fish was solid and not mushy.

The fries are like a combination of French fries and wedges. They were awesome. I think wedges are the best of all fried potatoes and this was equal to them in my eyes.

I did not expect when I ordered it to say I’d be back just for the fish fry but I totally would.

As a bar it’s my type of place and the bartender was cool. If I was in the area I’d stop in for another beer and fish...

My fiancé and I went for a date night on a Friday night, we were surprised at 6:45pm there was only about 2 other tables of people there. I ordered a glass of wine and it came quickly, I ordered the Asian bowl and my fiancé ordered boneless wings. Both of our food was absolutely terrible, the chicken seemed like it was precooked and then just thrown on to reheat it. It was chewy and tasteless. We wanted to speak with our waiter about it, but instead he was sitting outside for the entire time we should’ve been eating. It was only when he was about to bring our bill over that he asked us how the food was (about 30 minutes later). My (very) small pour of wine was $11 and luckily our server took my fiancés meal off the bill. We went on their grand opening day and as hectic as it was, the staff pulled through. I'm sure there are some kinks to work out still but I expect this establishment to be the new hotspot.

The pub fries were crispy and tasty. They are the wedge type, which is different than most bar food. There are so many wing sauce flavor choices, that they may rival B Dubbs. Try the Blitz wings, if you like a little spice in your life. They don't have it on the menu yet but ask for the Bangin' Shrimp Tacos with cole slaw. They're the best of all combinations; sweet, savory, a little crunchy, and soft. Chef's kiss!!

The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, even with the high ceiling, due to the forethought of the owners putting up sound absorbers.
