China King — Restaurant in Town of Perinton

I went here because I had to be in Fairport and I saw that there were some okay reviews. And, I will say that the fried dumplings were okay. It seems that they make their own wrappers because they’re nice and thick and chewy. The Kung Pao chicken, however, was not good at all. I’ve had Kung Pao chicken probably a thousand times in my life from many different restaurants and this Kung Pao was unlike anything I’ve had, and not in a good way. There was hardly any chicken in it and it was covered in a thick, goopy, unappetizing sauce. The “fried rice” was artificially yellow and had no taste except for a hint of old oil flavor.

BUT, how many times did my egg roll get fried and refried? 10? 20? It was completely inedible. And, the worst part is that they knew what it looked like and gave it to me anyway! They had to have seen it when they picked it up, put it in a little bag and then in my order. There’s no excuse. I definitely won’t be coming back.

I don’t understand why there are positive reviews for this place. I guess a lot of people have never had good Chinese food to compare it to. Do...

I usually love this place and my company orders from there about once a week, NEVER AGAIN! Today we got our order and one of our employees saw their driver spit in the box with our food in it! Before he could stop us from paying for the food the driver left, I tried calling to say we wanted our money back and the woman kept saying,"what? I no understand, call back" and she hung up on me. After about 45 minutes someone speaking English calls back to see what happened, it was the driver! He denied spitting in the box until I said an employee saw him do it....then when I said I want my money back they said only if we give them all the food back, but when you have food possibly contaminated with someones spit you throw it away! I told them they could dumpster dive and get it, no response. I'm thoroughly disgusted with them and this whole situation....I wish there was a way to not even...

The food is good I wouldn't say it's great. I enjoy the ribs and pan fried dumplings.

Recently I went in to pick up my food and a young man whom I think is the son that works at the register and answers phone there was quite rude. He has a very bad attitude and I think from now on I will be taking my business elsewhere. I will say this was not the first time I was greeted this way.

My recommendation to China King is step it up, Fairport is growing and an attitude like this doesn't blend well in the town. Maybe teach your staff to have better customer...
