Mac's Philly Steaks — Restaurant in Town of Perinton

Normally this place is amazing me and my bf love their subs. Usually we go to the one in the city but they’re closed on Sundays so we make the hour drive to this location. Last weekend we ordered I got a fat Mac with slaw instead of Mac and he got a steak sub with mayo horseradish and cheese. Both subs were absolutely disgusting the meat was so greasy and the fat Mac wasn’t made right the toppings were on the bottom and there was barley any. It may sound picky but when it’s made how it should be with the toppings on top it soaks into the steak. Both subs had a ridiculous amount of steak it was disgusting to bite into. I had to pick half of the meat off my sub to even eat it and my bf couldn’t even eat his. I called on Sunday and the girl who answered didn’t even apologize just said I’ll have a manager call you. Next day I call back still no manager at least this time the girl was actually professional and apologized. It is now FRIDAY and I still have yet to speak to a manager. I called today and they said the “manager was too busy” and promised they would call me back which they didn’t. They had nothing but excuses to offer that sundays are busy that they have new cooks that sometimes it’s so busy they can’t properly clean the grill even though my boyfriend always says to make sure they drain the meat really good. I myself work in food service as a manager and it is DISGUSTING the customer service I have gotten from this location. I am so disappointed because I really do love their food normally and I really just wanted our food remade. We come here almost every week sometimes 2 times if the city location is closed. I am at loss for words how unprofessional this situation was handled the manager should be making time to handle customer complaints. Customers come first! It shouldn’t take almost a week for a manager to call me I shouldn’t have to call 3 times to get a manager to call me! And each time I was told they would personally tell the manager so clearly the manager just dosent care about customer service. Completely unacceptable service and food especially for driving a hour...

This was a case of a bad experience turned into one that tried to make up for the bad experience. I can't say I am completely pleased, but the efforts taken by the young woman at the counter to make things right was appreciated. Much appreciated. It doesn't take away the bad experience as it still happened, but her efforts are genuinely thoughtful and good customer service. I order dinner for my family of 3 with an order time of 6:05pm (online order). It said delivery time of 7:05pm. At 7:20pm, I tried calling the restaurant a few times. No answer. The phone just rings and rings. I decide to go pick up dinner from somewhere else but take a route that will go by Macs. I see the restaurant lit up and the open sign in the window. I park and go inside. Wait...I tried calling while sitting in the spot looking directly into the restaurant. No one answers. Just rings and rings. Maybe their phone isn't working. There was 1 person at the counter ahead of me, but the hostess did come up and greet me after a few minutes. I explained it's now been an hour and 40 minutes, I've tried calling with no answer, etc. She says the driver is new. But....as she asked me my name, she goes to the orders and mine is on the bottom unstarted. The restaurant doesn't appear busy. I took pics. I have no idea...maybe timing is everything and I showed up at a quiet time. I ask the young woman to rebate my delivery charge and she offers me an additional discount, which is appreciated. After I wait for my order to be completed, she apologizes to me for the inconvenience of having to show up, wait time, etc. That was nice of her. When I get the food home....it was delicious!! I can't say 2hr wait time delicious, but...

Great Philly Steak Sub...a very nice suprise. We were traveling home from Victor to CNY and feeling hungry. All I could think about was how much I was craving a good Philly Steak Sub. My wife did a Google search and came up with " Mac's Philly Steaks" In Freeport a beautiful and cool town. We arrived just before closing but that didn't matter none. They were super cool and happy about making some food for us. We took it to go because of the hour and decided to eat in their parking lot before hitting the road. Once we got a taste of Mac's food we were very happy. We all ordered various items to try that were a nice treat but it's the Philly Steak Sub that I want to mention~ what their known for. I ordered the 8 inch Philly Steak with peppers, onions, mushrooms, and extra cheese ( American). They offered a 16 inch steak sub but I thought I'd order the 8 inch to try first and we were ordering other items as well. Well I gotta say the PHILLY STEAK SUB WAS GREAT! Plenty of meat, veggies, and cheese...on a nice sub roll. All quality and rich in great flavor...just what someone would want in a great Philly Steak Sub. All agreed. The 8 inch Philly Steak sub was absolutely plenty in size ( seriously) but I guarantee next time I'll be getting the 16 inch Philly Steak Sub...it really was that Good!! Can't wait to stop in again...it...
