Beijing Chef — Restaurant in Town of Pleasant Valley

I've been coming here for 4 years and was very disappointed when I brought my food home tonight. My first clue should've been the size of the bag. With the exception of the vegetables purchased, almost every dinner and side dish was packaged in containers HALF the normal size, and I was charged full price for everything! Peppersteak dinner size meal usually packaged in a square container with see thru lid, arrived in a white pint sized cardboard box and the accompanying white rice normally packed within the pint sized container, arrived in a tiny 1 cup box. Chinese food was always a good economic choice, when you're used to getting more than one meal per container. The food was good, but no posted notice or explanation? They just lost a customer for good. And, BTW we no longer go to Salsa Fresca in Lagrange for the same reason. If this is the new norm, home cooked...

Love the food at this location. Their boneless spare ribs are so good. The only thing I've tried that I wasn't a fan of was their scallion pancakes but the logo on it was pretty cool (it was thicker and more dense than what im used to!). Last time I ordered, they forgot my pork fried rice. When I called they apologized and asked for me to come back to grab it. When I got there, they had it ready and even threw in a free soda for my troubles. Mistakes happen! I think it's what companies do after, is what shows their professionalism and care for customer service. 10/10 would go again! (Tip: their boneless spare ribs and chicken wings...

Purchased Fried Wontons for my mother that were so burnt the meat was disintegrated. I called to let them know the Wontons were burnt and yes, I wanted a refund. They would not refund unless I returned the wontons. I explained to them my mother lives alone and does not drive and I am two hours away. I was willing to email a photo of the burnt food, they refused to refund. This is not the first batch of bad food ive gotten but it will definitely be the last. I spoke w the owner and she was extremely rude and hung up on me twice rather than try to talk w respect. Pick another chinese place. They stink!...
