Chai's Chocolates — Restaurant in Town of Pomfret

I ordered a cake from Chai's Chocolates & Gifts for my daughter's Jack & Jill Wedding Shower. It was very short notice since we were not sure if a cake was needed or not. The bakery was closed, but I did message via Facebook Messenger. The owner, Michelle, did respond quickly and seemed very accommodating. She asked what I was looking for and when I needed it. Stopped into the shop last Saturday and she was sold out of almost everything! I was so happy to see a local small business thriving. I’m assuming she heard the customers out front and came out to tell me that if I could wait a few minutes she would frost cut outs for me as the cases had none in them because she was selling them so quickly! She is so kind and truly wants all of her customers to be satisfied. The cookies were fantastic as were the macaroons....

Love it here. This is the quintessential small town bakery. You walk in and are charmed by the atmosphere.

Everything I've had from here is amazing. The flavor combinations are wonderful. And my husband LOVES their malt selection.
