Randy's Fireside — Restaurant in Town of Portville

I just got back from here, and it was honestly the worst experience of my life. Tonight was the rib eye special for $14.95. I brought my fiance, his best friend, my father, and my brother and his girlfriend and we all purchased the rib eye. I received my rib eye, and it was super fatty to the point where I only had a couple bites of actual meat. The waitress apologized and brought me a new one, and the second one was still pretty fatty, but it was tolerable. My fiance likes his meat well done, and when he got his it was a dark pink all throughout. The waitress noticed it and brought his back to be cooked more. When he received his well done rib eye back, it was literally charcoal, but he didn't say anything. My fiance also ordered a pop, and after he got his 3rd refill the waitress rudely said "you know I'm charging you for each one of these, right?!?!?!" For one, randys up the river in allegany (same owner) NEVER charged for refills. And for two, she was so loud and rude about it the table of people behind her were staring because they couldn't believe a waitress would talk to her customers like that. I would like to add that there was literally us and another small group in the whole restaurant. On top of all of that, we waited 10-15 minutes in between getting new drinks, rolls, and our food when the place was completely dead. But back to the refill scenario, we told her politely that we didn't know because randys up the river didn't charge for refills. She then said "I know Randy GUARANTEED would NEVER give free refills for pop." and that "Randy would go out of business if he did that." So she pretty much said all of us (6 people) were lying, and I very seldom ever see a restaurant charge for refills of pop. We always went there for spaghetti dinner on Sunday, but not anymore. Went to Randy’s for our grandsons graduation. Had a party of ten and was told that they were out of two of the specials. After about an hour we were told that they were also out of one other item that had been ordered. About half an hour later they brought one persons order (soup) and told us they would bring dinners individually as they were prepared. RIDICULOUS!!! Four orders were for Ribeye steak - received ribeye fat - not steak. Then we were informed that they were out of the salt potatoes and offered substitute potato. No drink refill. One of our party left with no food after an hour and a half. After TWO HOURS we finally had received everyone’s food. Asked about adjustments of the bill and was told “NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT “. Everyone was having the same problem. Service was terrible and most of the food was unacceptable. I wish I had thought to take pictures! This place is actually 10 stars but it wouldn’t let me add them. lol let me just tell you why you should go there!!! The waitress was top notch! She was kind, very efficient and attentive to our needs. I unfortunately don’t remember her name. The portions are huge! We got onion petals & deep fried green beans for the table. They were delicious. For dinner we had lasagna with garlic toast & ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Other dishes from our table were Alfredo (shrimp and chicken) taco salad, steak & cheese sandwich, spinach and artichoke dip, Caesar salad, etc. No one at our table finished their food.
