I have been ordering cakes for birthdays & anniversaries for last couple years. Cakes were fresh and made as I ordered. Unfortunately, I ordered a cake for my Anniversary to be picked up on Sat. October 3rd. When I came to the restaurant the cake wasn't quite ready. After about 15 mins this lady came from back of kitchen to show me my cake. What was to be a simple chocolate cake with plain white buttercream frosting was displayed to me as a festive yellow & orange seasonal sprinkled mess of halloween/autumn deco. I almost cried as the lady holding the cake said the order was for a cake with buttercream frosting and no detail as to color. Funny..as the lady who took my order was told three times to only make a chocolate cake with white buttercream frosting. No decorations. .no writing. Simple. The lady said she would take to back and take the frosting off the cake and redo it. After waiting another half hour I was given a cake that had a cream color frosting on it. I was not pleased but again I never speak up and should have as when I got home later with the cake I discovered I had a frozen brownie cake with the wrong color frosting anyways. Later your shop posted that mistake cake on your FB page. Honestly. I paid 20 some dollars for a 6 inch cake I could not serve to anyone and had to throw away the next day. I do not have money available to throw away since I no longer work. I now will not order my cakes from your shop. Management was there that day and could have done a better job of making this right for me. Perhaps even a discount on the price could have been offered. I will no longer be coming in to buy even a cupcake. I keep receipts and in the last year I prob have spent a couple hundred dollars there. Not much for your revenue, but too much for my savings to throw away on...
Read moreI can’t speak to whether or not the food is good. We were walking down Main Street, having just eaten dinner at another restaurant, saw the bakery and thought we’d check it out. We were carrying “to go” containers, and as we approached the counter, the young woman started yelling at us and flailing her arms. She said we can’t bring outside food inside. I said we are not eating it in there, not understanding why she was so upset. She then told us it was a gluten free bakery. So without further comment we left, not because it was gluten free, but because she was so rude. Granted we understand the importance of gluten free and did not realize it was gluten free before entering. There was another young woman at the door cleaning up and when we asked if they were still open, she didn’t freak out on us because we were carrying take out containers. Anyway, the food may be very good, but based on the way we were treated, I won’t find out as I...
