David's Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Ramapo

I've eaten here a few times and the bagels are heavenly. I understand many businesses are struggling to hire/retain staff, but when I'm trying to get to work and then line is at the door and there's so few staff, it's discouraging. What REALLY got me today, though, was when I walked in & was ignored by TWO members of the staff. It was around 11ish, so the place was empty. A guy was cleaning the display/trays & never bothered to acknowledge me. I stood there for like two minutes waiting for him to pause and take my order, say "hi" -anything! NOT a WORD; he just...kept cleaning. A woman came out the back so I thought she was the one who would be helping me. She smiled at me, got some things and disappeared to the back. I looked back at cleaning guy and he just kept going, not giving an inkling of whether or not he saw me. I dunno, maybe I should've asked him whether or not he saw me standing there, but I'm non-confrontational, so I just left on disgust and headed to another bagel place 🤷🏾‍♀️. Just won't be going back. Staff are SLOW... Lines take forever to handle..some staff walk around talking but overall...bagels are good! Also...PLEASE,PLEASE. If you order any muffins..ask when they were made because I purchase two and when I git home and tore open they had webs and started mold...I clearly asked and the OWNER said they were made yesterday..LIES..I returned and ATTITUDES were at 💯..and they never removed from the display. I give them chances after chances..to correct, however service is Horrible. Libes, rude staff...I ordered ahead and picked up and was not ready! I seen staff with gloves make food and handle money with the same! ALSO..THEY DO NOT INFORM YOU OF THE SURCHARGES when you pay with credit card and...

I go here all the time but every time I go the staff just has an off vibe. There is one lady that’s very nice but almost everyone else just is just sort of serious and definitely not what you would consider friendly. Maybe they are just overworked but somebody seriously needs to sage this place. Everyone seems very disconnected from one another you can tell that they probably don’t get along with their coworkers very well. It almost makes me not want to go there even tho the food is good. They get my order wrong a lot of the time too. I wish a bakery would open right around there so I could go there instead. I’ll probably continue to go from time to time but I always leave there with a weird sort...
