This area of Rockland is just TEEMING with Chinese food and pizza; there are not a lot of other genres out there for lunch. I've been cautiously investigating the options near my office, and this to me is the best pizza I've found in the vicinity though honestly it's not that amazing.

We've ordered delivery from here once, and I also stopped in earlier this week for a lunchtime sit-down experience. I like their set-up in here - it's very clean, spiffy and spacious. It's directly connected with the Evergreen kosher supermarket, so it's easy to overlook if you're not a regular patron over here. When I came in, I appeared to be the only non-Orthodox on the premises, and I imagine that would be the case most of the time - that said, I didn't feel like an outsider (there are a few places around here admittedly where I have) and the people behind the counter were perfectly pleasant and accommodating. There are quite a few self-serve kiosks to order from, enough where I initially assumed you couldn't order face to face with anyone. I confirmed that wasn't the case after the fact, but the kiosks WERE easy to use. For what it's worth, I've noticed at a few of these kosher establishments that there seem to be an unusually high number of self-serve options; not sure if that's coincidental or not. Regardless, doesn't hurt to have an additional choice if needed.

This is not my go-to type of pizza - I'm a snobbier Neapolitan wood-fired or hipster Detroit style creature by and large and it's unusual for me to take a liking to a mainstream, cheaper slice. The visual was the initial selling point here. I like that the typical slice here appears to be slightly well done, which is my preference. Not only that, I think this is the only time I've specifically been given the choice of selecting well done as an option when ordering. Nice touch. It would have been stunning if this had been an issue, but predictably my order was ready to go within about two or three minutes after being heated up.

The pizza itself is fine. Its weakest point is the sauce, which is noticeably and way too sweet, and the crust is a bit too chewy/doughy. I do at least like the consistency of the sauce for the most part - I do NOT like chunks in the sauce, and this was pretty smooth though I did take out a few slices of tomato skin (I guess that would be the term?). The cheese is the star here as far as I'm concerned, especially since it is a little burnt on the top, which to me adds a nice little flavoring zip.

The neighboring supermarket has a reputation for being very overpriced - I actually wandered in to get a coffee afterwards and my jaw almost fell on the floor at some of the prices of the Hanukkah chocolate - but the price point within the pizza place is very decent. I think each of my slices was about $3.75 or so, which in this environment you'll likely take any day. You could do worse than...

UPDATE AT THE END;

I ordered online ahead of time to have my order ready on time, when I arrived in the store, the worker at the counter was choosing his priorities of personal life over the customers.

He left me waiting there while my food was getting soggy more and more by the minute..

He was busy catching up with some friends..

When I spoke up and asked if my order is ready, the friend backed off to let me through to the counter, but this lovely worker took the opportunity to now call another friend over Video call to show him who just came in to the store.......

To the business owner, if you want to have a good name, please make sure to talk to the worker that worked at the counter on March 30th at 11:45 - 11:55 pm.

UPDATE. A few minutes after posting the review, I got a reply from the owner that he will look into this.

The next morning I got a call from him that he looked at the CCTV footage and wants to hear more details from me.

I gave him the full story and he said that he will talk to the worker.

I got a call from him not too long after the initial call, and he clarified what the story was and that the company is taking full responsibility on this.

Now, after this I can proudly say, the customers service is 10 out of 5, awesome and amazing to deal with responsible people, a mistake...

I went to this pizza store on a Saturday night, and honestly, the experience was frustrating. First off, they have a ridiculous policy where you can’t just buy one slice of pizza — you’re forced to order at least four slices. Straight up, that’s a chutzpah! Not everyone wants to eat that much pizza or spend that much money, especially if you’re just stopping by for a quick bite.

When I realized I couldn’t get one slice, I asked for a cheese pretzel instead, but of course, they were out of those too. I had to settle for a pizza roll, which was fine, but it wasn’t my first (or second) choice.

On top of that, the ice cream counter was a mess. The line moved incredibly slowly, and it felt like no one knew what they were doing. Waiting that long just added to the frustration.

Bottom line: the food’s decent, but the policies and service need serious improvement. Making people order four slices is...

Amazing kosher style pizza!! I ordered one slice and poutine fries. The slice was huge, and they actually offered a few different levels of cooking, which was highly appreciated (ie. Well done, not well done). The pizza bread was so soft, and the cheese was amazing. They have a variety of sauces available in the fridge. I tried garlic Mayo and pesto, both very good. The poutine was a bit salty, if managmentnis reading this, I'd recommend fixing that. Besides the salt, it was also very, very good. All n' all best pizza store in the greater monsey area!
