Primavera Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Ramapo

Food was decent for kosher style Italian. Mutzarella sticks, wrapped in a dough, oddly different & lacked flavor. Fettuccine alfredo was tasty, sauce could have been thicker. No soda, because vendor hasn't been there. That struck us odd. Personal pizza was burned. They offered to make another one. We told them it was o.k. because to be honest we wanted to get out of there because kid at next table was coughing up a lung. Would appreciate it if parents taught children to cover their mouth. Management made a new pie & insisted on us taking it at no cost. That was very nice, so we compensated waiter with an additional tip over their 18% add on. Don't know why people complain? The servers work hard. People probably In the past left without tipping so they were forced to do that. If you're an orthodox Jew you'd probably enjoy this restaurant. However, for a run of the mill Yid such as me & my hubby, go to Teaneck N.J. where even the Hassidm treat you cordially! Servers were great! However, the customers dining there were rude, and abrasive. Yes... I was wearing a long skirt and a star of David around my neck. The fact that I didn't have on a head covering shouldn't have had you rolling your eyes! We are all the chosen people! I'm sure HaShem wasn't happy with your behavior. You can dress & act all religious, but is your heart kosher? Why do you have to rush around, banging into people? Didn't your parents teach you manners, or just the Shema?! A woman with her 2 children rushed into the restaurant almost knocking my pizza out of my hands. When I asked her what her rush was she looked at me like I had 3 heads& no I'm sorry. Someone else cut in front of me & my husband w/o saying excuse me. There is enough anti-Semitism and hate crimes against us without turning on one another. Me and my wife went for dinner. We were sat down at our table but we were not given any silverware or napkins until 20 minutes later when I had to request them (every other table had them from the beginning). The majority of the appetizers we wanted to order were out of stock or not fully available since they were out of avocado. We were not told this until after the food arrived without the avocado on it, at that point the waiter then told us there wasn’t any for all dishes.

When we went to order the main, the stuffed Shells we were told they were also out of stock and we could not order.

We then decided to just finish our meal by ordering the churros. We waited for 20 min for them to be brought to the table and then immediately asked for the check. Our waiter took another 15 to come to us so we could pay. While he was busy with other tables that were there way after we arrived. We were stuck sitting and waiting when we just wanted to go home.

Service charge for tip was not optional and I was very upset with the service and felt it was not deserved for the service we were provided. I would not recommend this restaurant. Very...

If you plan to go to Primavera you should know that their waiters aren't knowledgeable on the menu and you might get a different plate than what you ordered. Here is what we had!!!

I Recently went to Primavera for a dinner with a couple of friends, we ordered a tuna steak pasta and we took a fries instead of the pasta, before we got the plate the waiter came and told us that usually they can't give a fries instead of the pasta for no charge but since we ordered already she will give it a pass for this time. and when it came to pay she added the charge for the fries on the check, and when I asked to remove it she said sorry I can't remove it you will have to pay for it instead of taking g the loss when they said it will be OK for this time, but that's not it, before I paid we I asked to add a soft serve mix ice cream and than paid the bill, and when we got the ice cream we got a plain vanilla ice cream and when asked that we ordered a mix she said oh sorry but we don't have mix...
