Duffy's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

This place has really gone downhill after covid. First off, the old man behind the counter is extremely obnoxious. He's possibly the owner. Secondly, there has been a significant price increase on all sandwiches. Tuna on a roll costs $15. Heroes cost up to $20. Hours are limited, so maybe they price gouge to make as much money as possible in the short time they are open. I remember this place being busy, but on a recent visit at 2pm, I was the only customer there in the 15 minutes I was inside. I have to change my review from a 4 to a 2 because the quality of the food has plummeted and at times it has been inedible also over the past year I'm noticing the staff no longer listens to what you order, when you tell them you dont want salt it seems the put extra on. I even had one of the staff lie to me and say they never put salt on anything even if you ask for it. At this point I will have to go to goldbergs at least they listen to...

Duffy's is THE place to go if you're doing a vineyard tour and want a more substantial meal than oyster crackers and meat/cheese.
