This place, like said in some other reviews, was not ready to open yet. I went on the second day open and it was a bit of a mess. First, on their Facebook they advertised that if you bought a $2 food item or more you could go in and see the cats for a bit, but when I got there it was $15 at least per person. That pricing is fine in concept, but the miscommunication was a bit of a let down. Its a new business and a small one at that so I understand. In the actual cat section, oh boy, did I feel bad for those cats. There were two cats who were fairly socialable, but the others were either really scared, clearly not acclimated to the enviorment, and were cowering in hide areas. I used to work at an animal shelter and the looks on a couple of the cats faces were just straight terrified. That sounds a little stupid, but you can tell by their body language that they are not having a good time. Other than the cats not being aclimated, my other most main issue would be how younger kids are able to wave cat wands around borderline hitting the cats and being so loud that it can't possibly be a good enviorment for the cats. Either the parent or some staff should direct children and educate them on how to approach a cat and understand them to an extent. Again, this business did just open, but I personally wouldn't be going back unless there were some changes for the cats wellbeings. There were some very nice kitty personalities...
Read moreWhen I first visited the cafe, I fell in love with a kitten and was ready to adopt. The employee informed me that the kitten had a sister, and they come as a pair. This made me even happier, and I accepted without a doubt. I submitted my application on paper, bought all the necessities for the kittens, and was fully prepared. I visited multiple times, spent time with the kittens, and paid as required. After a week and a half, I inquired about my application multiple times, receiving responses like 'we'll get back to you soon.' Frustrated, I emailed the next day, only to be told again, 'we'll get back to you tomorrow.' After contacting them at least four times, they finally asked me to resubmit my application. A day later, at 11:45 pm, while admiring the toys and supplies for my future kittens, I received an email from Racheal. The email stated, 'Congratulations, you have been accepted for adoption, but unfortunately, your chosen kittens have already been adopted and picked up.' This not only reflects unprofessionalism but also cruel behaviour, which could have been avoided if the employees had kept their promises and exercised better judgment.
I advise against spending your money at this place or supporting this business. While they may at first keep you entertained, they eventually disappoint after...
Read moreSo the perks to this place are being able to spend time with the cats. 4 of us went, and we decided to try some of the baked goods and drinks... unsure if the lady that was behind the counter was the owner, but my fiancé bought his coffee first and it was almost like she forgot about him, we kept making comments indicating he did not receive his coffee and it was like it didn't click to her. We were the only ones in the cafe at the time, so it wasn't like she was overwhelmed with customers. After we all got our stuff (as we paid for it)...he had to approach her for his coffee....she never gave me my change back from my purchase which did irritate me but I hope it just goes to the kitties and the hot chocolate was not good at all.
Due to my fb post, many of my friends are visiting this location, so I know I helped to get the word out to help the kitties that are staying there.
The room for the kitties is separate, and you can pay per 1/2 hour $15.
The room did have a smell to it, but you get used to it. The setup is ideal for all the cats and spacious. Every kitty there is available for adoption. Some are bonded as well.
All in all, it was a great experience playing with the cats and interacting with them. I do not, however, recommend eating there....
But certainly pay a visit and maybe...
