I worked at Chipotle Rye Brook for two years, about two years ago, and nothing has changed. It is as poorly run as it was when I left. The quality of the food in incredibly inconsistent, the management of the team is chaotic and so many people don't know what they're doing. The dishes are never fully cleaned, the soda machine is always running out of ice. I placed a mobile order for a Sofritas Quesadilla and Carnitas Burrito, accidentally sending it to Rye Brook instead of Mamaroneck. I called twice to cancel the order and no-one picked up, sending me to a full mailbox. I gave up and drove to the Rye Brook location and decided to just risk getting the order from them instead. The burrito was surprisingly still warm, despite arriving a half hour after the order was supposed to be ready. The quesadilla however, was cold. I somewhat expected this, however what I less expected but more feared was that they would get it wrong somehow, which they did. The sofritas was on the side, not in the quesadilla (when it has consistently been inside the quesadilla every single time I order it from Mamaroneck), there was a piece of steak and fajitas in the sofritas, and there was no side of guac. I had hoped after two years and some new equipment (like the quesadilla toaster with preset timers), that they would have improved, but alas, my hope was misplaced.
The bottom line: Don't order from Chipotle Rye Brook. The food is inconsistent, the management is poor, and the restaurant is dirty (if you know where to look). Go to the Chipotle in Mamaroneck, just 10 or 15 minutes away via i95 south, where the food is consistent, fresh, and not negligibly...
Read moreI’m honestly leaving this store feeling so disrespected. They are in the middle of dinner rush and the guacamole is brown and at the bottom. Fresh guac. The employee response know that’s all we have. (an obvious lie because they are constantly making guacamole I used to work at a Chipotle so I know how it works there.) the lady responds that she doesn’t want it. I also tell this woman I don’t want that guacamole but I am paying $20 for my chipotle and I would like fresh quac. After arguing with me she storms over to the online order station and slaps a TBS of guac on top of the steak (which is obviously not how you assumeble the bowl). She haphazardly makes the rest of my bowl and I tell her I need an additional side, she says that I’ll just have to take what’s there or leave without it. At this point, I respond “ I’m asking for fresh guacamole at chipotle a place that advertises the freshness of their food. Are you really telling me that you just can’t get me a scoop of fresh guacamole?“. Finally, they call for a manager who immediately get me quac. This was honestly just a terrible experience that left me feeling really awful, and not even in the mood to eat my food. Why do they think it’s OK to treat paying customers this way? Not only did the employee that served me mess up my what I said about 5 times, but he got annoyed with me every time I had him fix his mistake. One of those mistakes being he got queso all over the lid of my bowl (I did not order queso) so I asked him if he could please get me a new lid because I have a severe allery to cheese and dairy; so he went under the counter and looked as if he got me a new lid so I carried on with my order .when he was done he closed the bowl and then slammed it on the counter spilling out some of my bowl because he didn't even close it rite. So the worst is still to come .I get home and I start to eat my food and all the sudden I start noticing that something isn't rite. I'm having an allergic reaction. I look down and I notice the queso dip smeared all over the lid; that's how I found out the previous employee didn't get me a new lid, he simply reached under the counter to act as if he was getting one and must have wiped it off with his pant leg or something.
