We are senior foodies, we enjoy the mom and pop eating places over chain eateries. On our first visit to an establishment we order the same thing that we have ordered at similar food places. For south of the border, I order Mole de Pollo spiced chicken in a brown sauce, as my wife orders an enchilada. We were really looking forward to the mole as it's also one of my favorites. The atmosphere was fun, faces of day of the dead on the chairs and numerous Mexican appropriate pictures adored the walls, while songs and music filled the air. The food arrived, the smell was Familiar and I looked forward to the taste. Unfortunately, it was average tasting, as the mole was a bit thin the for my taste and a bit light on the seasoning. My wife's taco salad was small the lettuce was stringy and based in a creamy sauce, not to many pieces of chicken. Perhaps we'll try again and this time or something the server recommends....
Read moreMy first time here. My first impression of the place was quite positive. Clean, appropriate decor - especially nice booths. Staff was very congenial. Extensive menu. And I noticed there were several tables of Hispanic folks all having a good time. Ordered an appetizer: sausage-stuffed, bacon-wrapped jalapenos. That was really good. Ordered a peach margarita-Jose Cuervo-but I couldn't taste Jose. I ordered a dish with corn tortillas and steak. Was disappointed with my choice. Tortillas were really dried out as was the steak. Kinda like it had been sitting on a shelf, waiting for me all day long. I will say thst service was quick and courteous. I judge (quality of food) at local Mexican restaurants by the El Rincon, Sodus standard. Doubtful that I will return...
Read moreMy husband, bestie and I went here around 2pm one day while exploring seneca falls, we loved the atmosphere, it's super cute with great decor. It was dead in there so we were told just sit wherever. The place was clean, the service was decent but the food itself was edible but not very flavorful. I got a beef enchilada with rice, beans and salad and honestly it wasn't the best I've had. The salsa had a good flavor but was watered down and the chips weren't salted at all (personal preference I like them somewhat salty). The other 2 ppl with me said the same thing, food was ok but not great. May try them again some day but they wouldn't be a...
