I came here twice during the week of the “It’s a wonderful life” festival (which I assume is one of the biggest events this town has) for dinner. Day 1 I walked in around 9pm and wanted to grab a table for dinner. After a well placed effort I got the attention of the bartender (who was sweet) and attempted to place an order for food. She referred me to a person who I conclude is the manager and he told me that the kitchen was closed. Day 2 I came in for dinner around 8pm and the sweet bartender from the night before was sitting with customers at the bar and the manager was bartending. Again after a well placed effort I got the managers attention to order food. He once again told me that the kitchen was closed. I then asked him “ what time does the kitchen close?” He then hemmed and hawed as well as shook his hand as if he wasn’t sure, but finally gave me an answer of “maybe 7pm.” I left and never came back. My general opinion is that this is a local hipster type bar/brewery and they only cater to that client. When I walked in the past two times the place was semi full with locals drinking and having a good time. As a tourist I wasn’t impressed, but the staff was very friendly when they shut me down...
Read moreWe looked for alternative things to do when staying at DelLagi Casino. Found Fall Street Brewing and it had great reviews, especially about their wood fired pizza. It opened at 4pm and we arrived at 6:30. Pleasantly surprised that there was even live music but a bit too loud to talk when they were playing. On Wednesday ithere is a pizza and wine special. Being from out of town we had no idea where to sit or if there was even a host. Asked a person standing in a line how to sign in. They said take any table if you can find one. The line was to place your order. We sat at the bar and gave our order to the0 bartender. We were told there was no pizza dough. What?? You're known for your pizza and it's a special that night. Very disappointed. We had pretzel, meatballs, Greek salad and a flight of their craft beers. They...
Read moreStopped in for a quick flight on an early Saturday afternoon. The tasting room is a little cozy with 4 tables and about 8 or so seats at the bar but still comfortable. In my flight I got a NEIPA, Westcoast IPA, Cherry Stout, and a Belgian Double. Both of the IPAs had some good flavor to them the stout was good and balanced with the cherries and the Double was well made and pretty true to the style. I didn't get anything to eat on my visit but the sandwiches and other snacks looked and smelled very good making me slightly disappointed I wasn't hungry enough to order food. Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely come back for some...
