St. James Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

Currently my favorite restaurant. Jenny and Darren (the owners) really care about their business, their food and most of all their customers. When we first ordered from them, they asked us to call them back and let them know what we thought of their food. Another example of this was that we ordered from Slice and Darren called me to first thank me for my business and clarify the order because the Slice App does not allow for selection (type of sauce on the side pasta). You will not find this level of care or concern from owners anywhere else. Now onto the food...the BEST: chicken francese, chicken Marsala, chicken parmigiana, eggplant, stuffed shells, house salad, Caesar salad, and Greek salad. The quality of the food is always exceptional. Every piece of chicken is 100% edible. No grizzle at all. The salads are always fresh, and the best dressing. I cannot recommend this place enough. The only reason they have 1 star is so that I could leave a review. I work in the area so I stopped in for a quick bite. I ordered 2 slices which the man behind the counter took care of. The slices came from an older pie that had been sitting there which was ok. I sat down to eat and 2 minutes later a white male walked in and ordered the same. EXCEPT he got 2 fresh slices from a new pie the man behind the counter took out. Now that annoyed me but it gets better...the man taking orders proceeded to THROW OUT the pizza I had the slices from in the trash!!!! So the old pizza was good enough to feed to me (a Biracial woman) but not good enough for the white gentleman that walked in after me. I WILL NEVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN! I am extremely offended and disappointed with my experience here and will spread by word of mouth to friends family and coworkers to not support this...

I ordered a pizza and salad for delivery. The estimated time was half hour to 45 min after I ordered. I had no problem with that as it's a Friday night and raining extremely hard . Now I'm less then 2 miles away. The time came and went. Again with the bad weather I understand. Over an hour later I finally call to inquire where my pizza is and if it's on the way. First I was told the app they use doesn't update the real time, which then imo is useless, then I asked if it's out already if not to cancel my order. I was told it's out. It was an hour and 45 min when I finally got my barely warm pizza. While I do think the pizza is good I will not ever wait again for that long and the customer service left alot to be desired. Unfortunately I will not be ordering from them again as that's totally...
