Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

Really disappointing and hopeful that management sees this review to take action. Our smoothies we ordered were fine but I really felt like a review based on the service was necessary after what we witnessed in a short 5 minute interaction. We watched 3 young kids harassing and bullying an older gentleman in clear view of customers. The gentleman was doing several tasks while all these kids proceeded to just talk to each other. The gentleman even at one point tried to get one of the kids to be productive work wise. The final straw for my boyfriend and I was when he asked for a thicker straw for the smoothie. The gentleman did not understand and the younger kid proceeded to mock him to which my boyfriend said he was now asking him for the straw and not to speak to him in that manner. We thought about tipping him on the side but knew that these kids would take advantage of him. It was very disheartening to see this interaction. This would have made for the perfect undercover boss episode resulting in all 3 kids being fired. Commack location has always been so far friendly, food is readily prepared, and smoothies are always on point.

This past weekend, we wanted to try new smoothies that returned for the summer. The Island Punch smoothie was delicious. If only it was provided all year through - it gives the refreshing Summer taste if I had to compare how it was, it would be the smoothie.

My usual go-to is Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Ranch and Buffalo sauce on the side (to control how much I'd like to put in), Miss Vickie's salt and vinegar chips as my side. My wrap is always done correctly, I appreciate always providing the sauces on the side to avoid a soggy wrap.

Use your Tropical Smoothie app if you haven't already to gain points towards other rewards you might earn. All payments are accepted. The parking lot is shared within the shopping center. There are four tables inside and a few chairs to sit by the window area where they prep your order. Mobile orders are stored by the entrance.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I come here sometimes for breakfast to get the half off smoothies and today no one answered the call DELIBERATELY to not offer the half off smoothies (it ends at 10 AM) and when I walked in at 9:55 they refused to look at me until 10:01 once the half off smoothie deal ended. Whoever the new manager is, is EXTREMELY rude and has absolutely no customer service bone in his body. His name is Barun. Do yourself a favor and don’t come to this location ever again.
