First and foremost, I'd like to say that the service here was outstanding, the place was packed and the girl behind the counter was very professional and very friendly! She was so busy that I believe the owner actually took my order, and he was just as friendly and upbeat as the hostess. We ordered 2 slices, a drink, and 12 mild wings. It took a while to get our order, but the wings were cooked fresh, and we didn't mind. First, let's talk pizza, now personally I don't really think buying single slices can represent the pizza as good as getting a fresh pie made. A slice is essentially left over pizza warmed up. With that said, 2 things really stood out with this slice. It was pepperoni, and I swear I distinctly tasted black pepper. Now I don't remember ever having pizza with black pepper on it, but it really worked! The sauce was the second stand out for me and my wife. The sauce was flavorful and didn't taste like other local pizza places, making me think they used their own recipe. Now let's talk about the wings, finally a pizza place that doesn't try to make wings something they're not! These wings were perfection, the skin was perfectly crispy, the meat was tender and juicy, the wings were large, and they had the perfect amount of sauce. The sauce itself was beautiful in its simplicity. It was what I wanted a buffalo wing to be! After eating at quite a few local pizza spots, this is by far the best for wings that I've been to! The only negative thing I can say is that they're too far for me to travel for their amazing wings! Anytime I'm in Chittenango, I'll...
Read moreStopped here on our way back home from chittenango to northern New York. Ordered garlic knots, large half meat lovers, half cheese pizza, and a dozen bones in teriyaki wings. The knots were very flavorful and came put quickly! We did wait a bit for our pizza and wings (30 minutes), but to be fair, it was opening sunday night of the NFL season, and they had the phone ringing off the hook for to go orders, so definitely understandable. Pizza came out and was huge! Probably twice the size off a pizza hit large. The wings were absolutely perfect! Crispy skin, covered in a thick tasty teriyaki sauce. For the first time ever, we didn't get a broken, "special" wing that you always get in a dozen at other restaurants. I'm sure you know what I mean. All 12 wings were good size, fell off the bone, and were hot. The pizza was absolutely delectable. Good sauce to crust to topping ratio. The meat lovers half were loaded with meat. I don't think there was a single bite I took where I didn't get all the different types of meat on it. So big thumbs up for that! It was definitely a step up from most pizza places I've been to. Side note, one of the chefs in the back asked every single individual customer as they left how they enjoyed the food and thanked them for their patronage. Definitely showed that they cared about how customers felt about their experience. Place felt homey and comfy. The food was great. The price was low compared to the quality of the meal. We will definitely be back to Chittenango Pizza...
Read moreSuper annoyed … we ordered a Sicilian pizza and a garlic broccoli and chicken pizza, plus wings. Well … the Sicilian literally was like a flat sheet pizza, opposite of Sicilian and thin crust, square like a sheet pizza but I know Sicilian isn’t like that. Then the garlic pizza (which we had been asked whether we wanted a garlic base or red sauce, which was confusing) has NO garlic (note the garlic powder in the pic) … not really happy which is beyond disappointing because we are weekly repeat customers and love Chittenango pizza. The wings tasted like oil, I’m not sure why but when the box was opened it was a weird smell in comparison to what we are used to from this place. The wings are normally amazing, as is the pizza. Now I understand it’s a busy night and they were probably extremely busy (which we saw) and had a busy weekend I’m sure … which is why we didn’t want to cook as well, as we have been all weekend for the holiday (and heat). Not how I would have spent $57...
