The Flame — Restaurant in Town of Thompson

My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place out but sadly the service and food was very disappointing! After having to throw out a whole meal because it wasn’t edible I called to ask for a refund. The owner of this establishment refused a refund immediately because it was apparently my “personal opinion” on the food and offered to give me a different meal. But after my conversation with the owner and how I was treated by him and in his establishment I explained I would never be back and I just wanted my money back. The disrespect and arrogance I experienced on my phone call with him was unimaginable and from the owner himself! He told me I was one of over 2500 people they served that day and I was the only one with a complaint as if my experience was not valid or real. He also told me in our conversation that if I was a competitor I could’ve just said that, he asked where I was from as if it had anything to do with the situation and also told me he felt I was “fishing for money” because I brought up a review where he offered a refund and I wanted to know why he wouldn’t offer or give me one. As someone who works in customer service daily I was absolutely stunned by my conversation with this man and the accusations he made. I wouldn’t even give them one star. Disgusting food. I ordered a pepper steak plate for $27 and All I got was peppers with 2 small pieces steak I order a portion rice and it tasted like sand they only cook it with water we told the employee that it’s not good he gave us a cup of salt to pour onto it and told us this is the way we cook I also ordered a pulled brisket sandwich it was supposed ti be in a baguette and it came in a burger bun .I order 2 fries it was potatoes soaked in salt . My daughter orders a salad for $24 and got 2 chunks of steak with only paprika on it she asked that it should be medium rare and she got it raw there was no dressing for the salad when she asked for dressing they said they don’t have anymore then I asked for a chicken broccoli and told me that too many people ordered broccoli so they don’t have (what kind of restaurant doesn’t have stock with vegetables) I ordered a burger for my son for $15 t’was the size of half a dollar coin . If they wanna serve people for top dollar give them some food whoever eats there doesn’t go out satisfied. It’s impossible that they have 2800 people a day whoever comes there...

'sorry' this is what reached my ears during my entire first and last time experience at the flame.

Me: do you have garlic mayo? Flame: sorry we don't. Me: do you have sweet chilli? Flame: sorry we don't. Me: do you have cans or bottles of coke etc? Flame: oh so sorry we don't. Me: can you cut my pickle? Flame: sorry we can't.

Oh wandering why I have pickles to cut? Ha.. My sandwich came in the bread, in the side they gave me a large pickle, a slice of tomato, so some lettuce.. I can put it in my sandwich.. oh really..

My experience was bad, with tasteless food, I left the store with a huge bill and very disappointed!

Anyone reading this, make sure never to go there!!!
