I'll start by saying, that contrary to what Randolph Z. posted, the sign certainly says Tin Tin. Whether those words exist in Chinese is another story. But really, who cares about the sign.
The restaurant is one of your standard American-Chinese restaurants. If you're seeking authentic top of the line Chinese, this is NOT your place. That being said it's a small place with limited seating. Only about 2-3 tables, accommodating 4 or 5 adults are available. Most people seem to get takeout with the occasional delivery. There is a steady stream of customers in and out, indicating this is probably a "go-to" place for locals. On the counter you have a commonly laid out Chinese menu with the standard illuminated specials sign above.
I was reluctant to review this place until I had a few visits under my belt. The quality of the food is consistent and the prices are great. Unfortunately it is cash only, with an ATM inside available. There is about 8 to 10 parking spaces available, alongside of the building on Starin Avenue. The restaurant itself is reasonably clean; which seems to be the common concern among Chinese restaurants. Each time I've been to Tin Tin the Cashier is always the same late-teen girl. She speaks English very well and is polite and kind.
I'd recommend Tin Tin to anyone in the area looking for a decent Chinese (American) restaurant. The flavor is good and the price is right. It may not be the best you've had, but it will provide a quick and...
Read moreI’m not a real big Chinese food fan but due to my extended family’s taste for it I’ve grown to like a few of the dishes. Tin Tin has been a favorite take out spot for this part of the family for sometime so we decided to buy them all dinner Tuesday night August 6th. We chose from the combo’s menu several different combinations: General Tao’s chicken and Lo Mein, orange chicken and rice and a few others I can’t recall. When I arrived on time, the cook said it would be a little while because my wife had called for an additional meal. While I was waiting, the cook overheard me ask another patron what the food was like here to which she gleefully exclaimed “ it’s my favorite place to eat”. The cook gave us several Chinese dounuts ( not sure what they’re actually called) for free as a thank you for our business. All in all the food was excellent and we will return here for...
Read moreI’ve been coming here since I can remember, my family always ordered from here as a little girl and I’ve had their phone number memorized since I was 7, I’m now 27 😂 No matter where I have lived over the years: Buffalo, Amherst, Cheektowaga, eggertsville, kenmore, Sloan, lockport; I will make the trip to get my Asian food from here. Great portions and the prices have only gone up slightly over the years, but still way cheaper than other places. Fresh ingredients, clean kitchen, you can see them making the food when you go in, staff is always friendly. The best beef and broc I’ve ever had.. even better than the 5 restaurants in china town that I tried in NYC. Nothing...
