Maloney's Pub — Restaurant in Town of Urbana

I used to really like this place , used to hang out a little bit in the 90s , I am a solo vocalist and can sing sooo many probably 3,000 or more , was in a tribute to both Styx/Journey, CCR, lBlack Sabbath , Zeppelin, Joe Cocker and Chicago, but also have professionally been singing primarily Rock and Roll from the 60s to the '90s since 96 , last year I tried getting a booking , and was told they would put me on when they book again , I stayed in contact and the other day I followed up and was ready to book something and again was told we are booked up for the year , never even giving me the time of day , I basically was told not to contact them again , this has NEVER happened to me before , I am getting booked all over the place , did most of my music career in FL . Born in Urbana , had to stop singing for 4 years ago due to severe medical reasons , I started back this past August ..only solo now and have plenty to offer , had they have booked me they would have kept me on , instead I was brushed under the rug and could have brought a ton business, I let them know I was upset , instead of trying to resolve it, I was blocked , my family and friends have been going there for Many years back when it was Wilkeys and I just wanted to be a part of the entertainment and was lead to believe I would get in this year ....Nope !!! Everywhere I have played so far keeps me coming back , I have integrity and do what I say , I even will sing with no breaks only because my passion came back , a lot of friends tell me to play there .....well I gave it my best and was willing to come and do 2 sets for nothing as an audition, I was NOT GIVEN A FAIR CHANCE , and the thing is I honestly thought they were really cool , it's ok everywhere else I play I am appreciated and asked back , also I do VERY well with tips and always have to squish it down ......hmmm can't think of any reason why they tip the heck out of me , come see my show and you'll see why I am getting really booked out ! And this place never even gave me half the chance just to prove myself it's ok another establishment near there took the time out of his day to see my show the other night and from HIS WORDS I will play his establishment and he was very pleased , I would have gladly given 5 stars with a great review, but unfortunately their words meant absolutely NOTHING AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All good ! If they don't take down my valid review.....I don't get it I was persistent and was telling everyone that they would get me on soon , because I was asked NUMEROUS TIMES...are you going to perform there ? The answer to all my Hammondsport , Bath , Pulteney , Wayne , Penn Yan ,Dundee , etc family and friends...the answer is NO ,YA YAVE TO BE IN A CHILDISH CLICK or something, because since 96 I have not once been treated this way sorry ...I did try though but no worries I a filling the calendar with ease .. their last words to my reaction was wuote .....Wow dont contact us anymoreand good luck ...I dont need luck I get booked because I back up what I say ! I Am a man of my word period , but they could have saved me some time and just been honest from the get-go and just said hey look we just don't want to book you, I would have been fine with that because I am getting booked everywhere plus private parties ! Maloney's Pub is exactly what you would expect from an Irish pub in a small town at the base of the lake in the Finger Lakes. A handful of beer on tap including Guinness, many other beers to choose from by the bottle mixed drinks from the full bar and even some wine options. Most nights there is a pool table except when there's a live band which is typically weekends May to October. Little porch out front is a nice option for those that want to sit outside and watch the world go by. Being just one block from the lake docks, water taxi and swimming beach there's lots of interesting passerbys; and is a good option if you cruise into town from a cottage. Open late and a rockin house with a live band this cash-only fun haunt directly on the Village Square, is a great way to end the evening, start a day of celebration or ponder your next move in...

Went with my family was the worse experience I have ever had. Once going to leave a group of men started a fight with us!!! I or anyone in my family has ever been in a fight or a situation like this. They went after two of the guys I was with I tried breaking it up and was punched in the face!!! The male bartender was standing there watched it all my mother tried to get us and he wouldn’t allow her he helped provoke the fight!!!! Now I wish I would have called the cops I was just in shock and wanted to get away from the situation . The male bartender was laughing and provoked and girl getting hit!!! My sister put a review up and the bartender is blaming us so she removed it I hope the video we have leaves him jobless so this never...
