First and foremost, welcome to Wappingers!! Love seeing (non corporate) business open. I tried the pizza today and honestly, nothing special. I read the reviews and one guy said, a “a good pizza starts with dough”. Huh???it’s a 50 pound bag of flour and yeast… A great pizza starts with the water source. You know, the 5 gallons of water per bag of flour. Slices are extremely small. Those small slices might’ve been great in Beacon but you’re dealing with a completely different group of people here. Men don’t have hair buns here! The place looks amazing. I absolutely love the color coordination you went with. Your menu is just like everyone else’s. Your mailer has the same coupons your competition has. Lacks imagination and originality. Prices are Great!! Why reinvent the wheel, I guess! Great location as well. Those strip malls have been dead for years and I’m glad that great eateries / karate / children places/ spa / clothes stores are opening along the southbound side of route 9 Wappingers. I guess being from Yonkers/Bronx, I’m spoiled with having amazing pizza. Just an idea for your slowest day of the week…. Most of us in Wappingers are from the city. Most of our childhoods were amazing. Playing stickball/ running around the city until street lights came on then to the stoop we all went so when mom looked out the window, there we were. I remember the 1.00 slice and soda days to. We would collect cans to eat at Pizza Ban (McLean ave and South Broadway in Yonkers). Do an 80’s day. Slice and soda (fountain soda) for a buck or two. I promise you’ll attract the right people and who knows, maybe a customer or two for life. Your cost would be .35-.50 cents. Whatever soda company you went with will make the banner for free 😱😉. I do wish you the very best of luck and this review is me not beating around the bush. 5 stars on ambiance (for a pizza place) and menu prices. Two people said, best in the Hudson valley. Wow, you’ve tried a slice at all 189 pizza places in the Hudson valley....
Read moreRosie’s was always my favorite pizza place when it was in Beacon. I’m a PIZZA guy and raved about Rosie’s for years but then it closed due to the pandemic and whatever factors, but now it has re opened in Wappingers Falls on Rt 9. They have every kind of pizza imaginable and it all looks friggin amazing BUT their crust has changed. The 3/03/2022 crust that I just got with my Margarita pie was very floury and excessively hard, and not the same as it was in the past. They just opened a few Months ago and more that likely need some time to iron out the bugs in the new oven and current ingredients but the pizza that I just picked up there was very sub par for what they had available Down in Beacon back in the day. They have to work on their pizza dough. Just sayin! Give them a try and see how you like their new fare’. I’m sure they will get it back together before we know it. They are very nice people and I do wish they the best...
Read moreWe've been meaning to write a review about Rosie's for a while! We moved to the area in September and we have ordered from Rosies 1-2 times per week since we've lived here (that's not an exaggeration!!!!) The food is DELICIOUS, consistent, ALWAYS hot when it arrives, and is delivered in a super reasonable amount of time. The staff on the phone is so pleasant, and the delivery driver is such a delight. The menu has a huge variety and we have not ordered anything we haven't absolutely loved (side note: best margherita pizza we've ever had!!!!) If I could give Rosie's more than 5 stars, I would. We are so grateful we found this place and it will continue to be our go-to. Thank you to everyone at Rosie's for all...
