Villa Picante Tacos Y Más — Restaurant in Town of Wappinger

Tried their new spot in the Poughkeepsie Galleria today, and got some carnitas tacos. Super friendly, quick service.

Tacos were so delicious, the pork was cooked perfectly and was so flavorful. The toppings were very fresh. I’ve been craving LA street tacos lately and this satisfied my craving.

My only small qualm, if that, was that the tacos had one tortilla instead of two, but they were corn which I prefer, they were delicious, and they still held up. Plus they gave me four tacos, and I was well fed. So I’m really not complaining.

I’ve been wanting a fresh taco spot (or any real food honestly) in the mall for years, and having this place here is glorious. I will eat here every time I’m in the mall now. Pretty decent Mexican food, but it's tiny inside. Service was good and the food was alright. They have authentic Mexican Coca-Cola in glass bottles, along with jarritos and some other unique sodas. Unfortunately there's nothing in the drink cooler with less than 50g of sugar, besides diet Pepsi. My buddy ordered the quesadilla and it was entirely unlike anything he was expecting. The quesadilla here is basically 3 soft tacos on flour tortillas, he was disappointed for sure. They have some pretty good hot sauces, green is mild and red is very hot. I enjoyed my steak tacos, but overall they are mediocre. I feel like the entire Fishkill area has some struggling Mexican restaurants, but adjusted for locale this is a solid 4...

Amazing. This is a super casual very clean restaurant. We had chips and salsa, chicken tacos, beef empanadas and a kids chicken fingers and French fries. The food was amazing, absolutely delicious, the owner made the food fast and even helped keep our children entertained while we were eating. Just go and try it!

We are normally not fans of corn wraps on our tacos but honestly now we know that’s because we never had a good fresh corn tacos. Even the chips and salsa were something to rave about.
