My family and I attended funmax only 2 days into opening, and it was Incredible!! My two toddlers were in awe of it as were we their parents. However just over 6 months in, I'm so sad to say that where I would have given this place a 5 stars now I give it a 1. I'm not one to write reviews but after frequently attending this establishment with my kids the quality has dropped significantly. Our county needs something like this, abd it's long overdue, and because of that, please funmax up your standards!!
Your workers either need to be better trained or again you need to have better standards especially after today's visit. I attended on a Friday afternoon with my two children and their grandparents, upon walking in the door they were used Band-Aids on the floor. The main ball pit area looks like the floors could use a mop and the balls laying all over the place could have been clearly picked back up and put in the ball pit. However, the worker just sat there on his phone the entire time not paying attention to anything. The inflatables in the ball pit were sitting deflated. Kids were climbing in the obstacle course area where it was clearly roped off and kids were climbing The high-rise without any gear on whatsoever. Again, while the worker sat there on his phone. I took my children to the bathroom and they tried to wash their hands. There was no soap in any container, as there was also no hand sanitizer and at least four out of five of the dispensers. This was unreal. So I had to finally go ask somebody at the front desk to please refill the dispensers so I could wash their hands.
The list of problems goes on, again 2 days into this place opening. It was immaculate. The little toddler zone where it clearly says ages 4 and under, older kids have clearly trashed it. Foam bricks are busted. There is nothing left in the kitchen and supermarket area as there was in the beginning. Even the kitchen set is busted so bad that if a child was to lean on it the whole thing is going to collapse as there is wood pieces missing on it. The floor is buckling on the toddler section and there are bottle caps and garbage laying around. All of which are choking hazards. And to see older kids coming in and trashing the place while parents sit there is ridiculous. Only to ask the front desk. Why isn't somebody watching it? Oh, The attendant watching the zip line two stories up is actually the one supposed to be watching it. That is ridiculous to think that they can monitor two sections at the same time, both with different sets of kids. And I would also like to add that the workers in that section are also just sitting around on their phones lounging around and sneezing into the open air, not even trying to cover their mouth! My 4-year-old knows how to do that better than that teenage worker!!
I'm supplying photos just to show the small problems. But clearly either the standards need to be upped or you need to train your workers or something because the place has become filthy, and has severely gone downhill and quite frankly our residents deserve to have a place like this to go with our kids with the quality of entertainment, but with the lack of cleanliness and workers that actually work instead of lounge around. In my younger years before I left a job, we were told to clean up every part of a job... I don't see any reason why the workers who were sitting around on their phones can't do this to every section and do a quick cleanup, either during the quiet times or before the place closes down for the night?? My children love this place but I'm sad to say I'm not sure if I'll be back, unless some major improvements can be made š¢
This is a follow up to a rating that I gave a while ago - nothing has changed, in fact it's worse sadly! A few months ago when I attended a family friend's party. There were multiple issues of which the manager spoke to me and said to me That they were trying to turn the place around. I can tell you I finally came back today and that is not the case! I will not return!! Attached images of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall I think this place has great potential. However there are some safety concerns I have as a parent that I feel it is important that management rectifies quickly to avoid future injuries or problems. The first thing I would address are the RUN UP walls, specifically the one near all the slides (the red ones) many children were sliding down from the top of it. Assuming it's a SLIDE. This was to include my nephew. He thought it was a slide mearly because he saw older children sliding down it. It wasn't until I said something to the group of children that they realized what it actually was for. On that note, something different should be put in it's place. Or it needs to be netted off so children don't think it's something to slide down. I watched these older boys tumbling down hitting the side hard. Now imagine if this is a 5 or 6 year old? And for anyone who may say well the parent should watch them, I can't speak for every parent. But not everyone watches their child from wall to wall moving around in those jungle gyms. It's huge at that. BUT I was watching my child and nephew. But one second of me not looking and it would been an injury. I can't foresee it being rectified without moving the red running wall or netting it off from the top so you can't slide down. My next concern is my nephew and son are 4 and 5. The jungle gym is huge and you can't stop a child from exploring it. But children do get lost, scared etc. So if a parent needs to accompany their child why is that an issue? To ensure they know their way around the jungle gym and they feel safe enough to go on their own. There's signs that say parents can go in to get their kids etc. But I can't help my child? If my child was stuck or lost? I can't go in to help my child? I am literally just as big as some of the older kids, especially the young boys but it's problematic for me to be in the jungle area? They suggest parent watch their children because of the size of the place but aren't allowed to participate? I don't get it. So who's watching my child? Making sure my child isn't stuck or lost or hurt in areas I can't see from the bottom floor? If a staff member tells me parents need to be on the bottom floor again, meanwhile they are watching other parents in and out of there I literally probably won't be nice if there's a next time. I think that's absurd you can recognize your staff can't monitor all these children especially inside a giant jungle gym but you expect a parent to not help them or to watch where they are from the ground floor. The next thing I would suggest is more padding in some areas because I did watch some kids go into railings etc. The steep slide could use more space in front of the end of it so kids are smacking into the wall and it might reduce the balls flying out of the pit. Just about every kid coming down that high pitched slide hits the wall. Padded or not it could be avoided with making that wall comes out a bit more. Also I know there was a recent septic issue because people aren't bright and don't know the logic behind NOT flushing paper towels in a toilet. But the easy fix to that is to not offer paper towel and just hand blowers. At that point you just need to worry about women and their max pads. However, the bathrooms in the front were soaked....there was no toilet paper in one bathroom and the other bathroom didn't have working water for the sink. That needs to be fixed right away. One thing that always turned me off from bounce was their bathrooms. Please don't be them that have dirty bathrooms. Also I asked the front desk staff about getting a locker when I checked in and I was told there was a kiosk or something by the lockers. I didn't see any kiosk and asked the guy at the other counter who told.me you get a locker key at check in. At that point I carried my bag. So id say make sure your staff is trained and get that process organized. On a positive note the size of the place is very nice. It is sure to keep a child entertained for hours. I would definitely go back if I knew these concerns...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt first glance this place is great, and for children itās a colorful and exciting adventure. As a parent though, I have some concerns for both safety and sanitation. We went on the third day it was open. The helmets the staff used arenāt cleaned between children using them. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting/ clearly not being cleaned regularly, There was barely any staff on the floor and too many at the registers. There are parts of the park that are really nicely padded for safety and then others that are completely missing padding - run up walls (both of them) have absolutely no padding. There are foam stairs leading high up over trampoline areas with no handrails and I watched a toddler fall off them and land painfully below. The climbing four story adventure is absolutely fun, however the bottom floor has little no lighting and many areas are very dark with no cameras, which to me is a safety concern. There are no signs to say if you can jump off the high foam walls onto the trampolines or not and no one staffing them for safety, I watched two children jump, land terribly and one get hurt badly on his neck. There also wasnāt a single adult working there today only teenagers. We got a locker that locked, which worked well, but when we left and I went to hand in the key they had no idea what to do with it or where to return it. Some of the activities needed harnesses, I watched several times children go up without proper harness placement- harnesses should sit above the waste, of those they were sitting on or too lose and falling below the waist. I harnessed my own child because the worker wasnāt sure how to tighten the straps around her to ensure safety. Overall I donāt think Iād go back until these safety issues were properly addressed, which is a shame because with proper padding, organization, lighting and training, this place could be really fun. It...
