We had an incredible brunch experience yesterday at Zen, and it’s safe to say this place is now on our must-visit list. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the perfect tone for a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience. The tranquil and sophisticated atmosphere of Zen really lives up to its name. The seating was comfortable, the lighting was just right, and the music was soothing, creating an ideal space to unwind and enjoy a good meal.
They started us off with their take on the famous Red Lobster biscuits, but with a delightful twist—strawberry butter! These biscuits were absolutely delicious, warm, fluffy, and the strawberry butter added a sweet, tangy kick that was just divine. It was a great way to start our meal and set the expectations high for what was to come.
We decided to try the Jamaican steak and eggs, and wow, what a dish! The steak was thick, juicy, and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning. The potatoes that accompanied the steak were phenomenal—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to absolute perfection with just the right level of spice to give it that authentic Caribbean flavor.
We also indulged in the classic burger, and it did not disappoint. The burger was nice and juicy, with fresh toppings that complemented the flavors perfectly. Each bite was a taste of heaven.
The customer service was top-tier. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. They truly embodied the warm, inviting spirit that Zen promises in its About Us section. The DJ playing all the right tunes was the cherry on top, creating a vibrant yet laid-back vibe that made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Zen offers more than just a meal—it offers a complete dining experience. The blend of traditional Caribbean and soul food with a modern twist, combined with their exceptional service and inviting environment, makes it a standout spot. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend Zen to anyone looking for a premium dining experience with a unique and flavorful menu.

Read moreIn reply to your response the food was ordered to go this is what we saw when we got home! Would you eat a burger that was served to you this way?? And we did complain while we were there the cook came out with excuses that you have to cater to your environment!!….. and correction base camp was there the 13th!! I was here the Saturday when base camp was live i ordered food to go a jamaican sandwich it tasted nothing Jamaican . So I said let me try again BECAUSE THE PICTURES OF FOOD POSTED LOOKS REALLY GOOD- i don’t think this was YOUR pictures especially not the oxtails they were NOTHING BROWN!! anyway i wanted to give another try and decided to have my birthday brunch on Sunday the atmosphere is nice the Mimosas were good and the wings were good THAT’S IT! i ordered Jamaican steak and eggs it was so plain again nothing Jamaican about it and steak had alot of fat! My cousin ordered Jamaican nachos and it had literally 2 pieces of chicken and dark meat at that! Chicken and waffles NO FLAVOR! Rasta pasta was ok but again chicken was dark meat. Shrimp in the shrimp in grits are NOT COLOSSAL as stated on the menu. We decided to STILL order food to go because it was now dinner menu and i decided to taste the oxtails and my son ordered the jamaican burger….. HORRIBLE!!! Oxtails were nice and very soft sucks that they weren’t SEASONED properly and were beige in color and no sauce at all. The worst was my sons burger looked like it was somebody’s left over food and only ONE BUN no CHEESE onions tomatoes no JAMAICAN FLAVOR! LITERALLY LIKE LIKE THEY JUST THREW IT IN THE CONTAINER!!! Really upset we spent over $600 that day and only thing good were the drinks and wings we even had to play our own music from the jukebox and the hookah service was so slow we had to cancel. Such a nice place but you need A NEW AUTHENTIC CARIBBEAN COOK!! I really should of took a pic of the oxtails but i threw it out!! We did call and they said we can get the money back for the burger only and we needed to come there to get it!! LOL that...
Read moreSuper disappointed in this place. I have been here multiple times with my peoples or for retirement parties. Always dropping bills in this place between drinks and hookah. Unfortunately, this past Saturday I went to meet my boy and his wife. Upon my arrival I was told if I had tickets for an event that was going on. I said no and had to pay $20 to get it. In which, I didn’t mind. After 15 min of arriving there, I’m not even finished with my first drink my boy gets approached by the same dude that took my money. Mind you, my boy was in the spot for an hour already. This dude talk about there is an event if you don’t pay $20 you can’t stay. I was in total shock, like who says that one someone has already been in the establishment for the past hour. Like your that thirsty for $40. Again it wasn’t about the money but the principle, they should have been told about it at the door before entering. That was soooo tacky. I told him to bring the owner over and all the owner had to say that it was a private event it was out of his hands. Again it wasn’t about the money but the principal. Owner then stated we can talk to the DJ because it was his event. At the end of the day I stood my ground and we all left. I even told the owner that this was bad for his business. So already told all of my peoples about how tacky and thirsty this place is and even the owner didn’t do anything about it. I guess we will be taking our retirement parties else where…….
Owner just responded and still doesn’t get it. He stated that he has already responded to my friends post! We both have two different opinions and just made it seem like you didn’t read mine. EXACTLY WHY I WONT BE RETURNING AND ALREADY ADVISED MY FRIENDS AND...
