Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Town of Wappinger

I went with my husband for dinner, I enjoy the food and the manager is very friendly and attentive, Waitress comes takes our drink orders,she then starts to wipe every surface around then clean tables and sweep emptied the dust pan then provides to go to kitchen and bring our drinks WITHOUT washing her hands, I let it go figured it was an oversight, She then continued to clean wipe and sweep multiple areas,stopping in-between to go take orders never washing her hands, I felt very uncomfortable because I knew she was soon gonna bring us our food, So my husband politely called her over to our table and asked her very nicely and in a low voice if she could please wash her hands before she brings us our food she said why? He then said Or wear gloves,she was very mad and kept saying the same thing im allergic to latex I'm allergic to latex, and was making faces I saw my husband was not getting threw to her so I then said please just wash your hands before you serve us our food,she looked at me wide eyed,she then said again why I said because you kept cleaning and wiping different surfaces and sweeping touching dirty items and you don't wash your hands and your handling food, I said you did it before we let it go, We all make mistakes,and now you keep cleaning and not washing your hands and serving food, She threw her arms in the air and went to kitchen, She was waving her hands in the air talking to the manager not sure what was said, 2 minutes latter a very nice waiter came with our food and said he would be our waiter he was very friendly and polite, I thanked him and explained what happened,he said that's not how they are trained and not proper protocol,He was very apologetic he also said That i was right to ask her to wash her hands and she should not have reacted that way, We continued to enjoy our meal like always, She came out latter to serve the table in front of us, I will continue to eat at Perkins but I will make sure she does not serve us,safe food handling is very very important and proper hygiene to ensure customers not getting sick, Her name is...

I absolutly love perkins and their staff and especially the food. Omgoodness, all the food is delivered and made fresh to suit and make your tastebuds water and sizzle. They even feature a kids night which is on wednsday evening. Kids eat free with purchase of one adult entree. Cupcake the clown or Mike the magician is there on wednsdays for your childrens pleasure and entertainment. Balloon animals, face painting, magick tricks, ect will keep both you and your children entertained while you dine on a delicious meal. Want desert? All deserts are made on site for your enjoyment. Quick and easy ordering, however, yesterday afternoon I ordered a french dip sandwich. Tipped over 50% because I've been a waitress myself for several years and I understand how this pandemic can really affect income. Got home to find no au jus. Went back since it's 5 minutes down the road, only to find out that the restaurant was out of it. The Italian guy that handled the front asked the female cook in front of me about the dip, so now it shows the cook didn't communicate with him, and the guy that bagged it didn't pay attention to the order. I have been an expeditor before. Especially since your FOH is completely empty, I expected more effectiveness.
