Love this place. Historic site, historic environment. It seems the bartenders connect well with everyone, and you can always ask about some interesting historical facts about tavern. You'll also notice hundreds of silver mugs stored in locked cases along the walls. For $100, you get your own engraved mug to use for discounts, and the money goes to the historical society.
This is a great bar to sit and chat, or to drink and read, there's no TV's or loud crowds. You're always taken care of.
I believe Tuesday night is Trivia night, it'll be completely packed with a diverse crowd of age groups. Some people come in big groups and bring dinner with them.
In the summer, the owner does BBQ in the back every Saturday, where you can buy whatever deliciousness is served and have it right there on the beautiful back porch. As a Texas man, I know my BBQ, and this is amazing, you have to try it.
