Let's see. I come to Wellsville once a year at the most. I had been in this place 2 years ago and I knew it wouldn't be awesome, but at least would be satisfying. Not this time. I went with my family in law, the dinner was on my husband and me; we wanted to thank them for their hospitality. My husband and I shared a pizza, his mother and grandma had a burger each, and his dad a sandwich. The fries came strangely burnt. They were at the same time soft and burnt. We thought they were sweet potatoes, but nope, they tasted to burnt oil. That could be just a bad time, they had a party on the other table so the waitress was a little very busy. However when we asked him about the state of the fries his answer was: " oh... They are not that bad, are they? I like'em like that". Ok, I cannot be given the responsability of asking or not for decent fries, he should have brought them directly new, without making us feel bad if asking. Then I discovered a big, wide, black hair in my pizza. Inside the cheese, so I knew it wasnt mine. It had been cooked inside. Since we were with out family we did not want to make a scene there. We just paid, tipped 15% (which we regret) and leave smiling to the waiter, which apologized with a smile for the fries (ok, they were uneatable, stop apologizing, you should have brought a new plate of them). We run into the cook in the door, so we knew the hair was his since he was wearing not hairweb and his hair color matched. I did not need to see whose hair was in my food. I won't come back, because apparently not having competition makes restaurants stop...

I am so impressed with L'Italia's pizza that in had today, that I had to write a review asap. We were in Wellsville for the Ballon Rally today. Italia was selling their pizza by the slice. We stopped and bought a slice of their breakfast pizza - scrambled eggs, sausage, red peppers, and onions. It was absolutely delicious. Crust was light, flavorful, and crispy. Pizza wasn't heavy like some pizzas. We continued on with our shopping and walking but when we returned and walked back by L'Italia we had to buy a few more slices. We tried the Bee Sting Pizza and their supreme pizza. I'm not hot honey fan but that Bee Sting Pizza with the roasted garlic white sauce made my eyes roll it was so good. The supreme was perfectly cooked and had a perfect amount of cheese on it. I wish L'Italia had a location in my home town because I would be there all the time ordering their pizza. This picture is the Bee...

The servers don’t help each other. They let you sit and rot if you sever is over extended, refusing to make eye contact. We made three attempts with this place. First time was good, ordered from the specials which were presented and the server was attentive for the most part. Next two trips subpar service and food. Didn’t offer specials or drink menu, nor did sever check on us. When we complained on the last visit, we got drink tokens from a manager and no offer for comp on food we clearly didn’t eat, as it was not worth the calories. Shrimp on partner’s dish was rubbery and I swear the tortelloni was something I could have gotten frozen from the grocery store and same for the alfredo sauce. Manager didn’t even ask about our meal, neither did our server. Paid our bill, still left a tip, and will never go back. It’s three strikes and you’re...

Prices have gone way up, but portions and quality have gone down. I'm not spending $21 on a small average tasting piece of lasagna then paying like $4 to add a basic side salad on. This is sad because we used to drive over an hour to go there. We heard from someone at the bar at another local place that they think the reason why L'Italia changed so much is because it has different owners now. Our last visit it was a chilly rainy windy day and it was uncomfortably cold in their dining room. The music was also too loud. The straw that broke the camel's back was seeing the smaller menu with higher prices. We chose to go elsewhere.

For me, dining is in the details. I had a Greek salad with Shrimp. Iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of green leaf tossed in, and the shrimp was plain, thawed jumbo. The dressing came in a plastic cup. Here's what I would have expected from an establishment trying to sell itself as somewhat upscale -- mixed greens (preferably from one of the many farms in this region), lightly seasoned & seared shrimp, and a reusable dressing vessel rather than wasteful single-use plastic. The staff was friendly, but it was slow & the floor could have used a sweeping. There were crumbs under most tables.
