Caffe — Restaurant in Town of Woodstock

I've been here a few times now, and this place is really amazing. Its always somehow sparkly clean, and perfectly stocked. You will definitely be wanting the Vanilla Bombolini. Or really anything for that matter. The coffee is also from Italy and really rich and strong. I came in this morning with my husband and the brunette girl making the coffee is very talented at calligraphy, pretty rare nowadays! There was a lady this morning at the register who seemed a little stressed, and annoyed at me for asking her to repeat what she said because I am old and my hearing is not good. Although this is a nice little gem of a place in Woodstock NY, I just found out from the young ladies who work the counter that they THROW AWAY perfectly good unsold food at the day! I suggested the offer a discount at the days closing, or a two-for-one deal. However, she said they were worried that no one would but things at full price if they knew there was a deal at the end of the day. It is absolutely criminal for food establishments to throw away food. Not only is the owner throwing away her OWN money by tossing food she already paid for, it is completely unethical and selfish, especially in a place like Woodstock, to trash perfectly good food. Up until now, the best pastry I ever had was a cream filled cannoli at a farmers market in Verona, Italy. But the bomboloni were just as amazing!!! In fact I have to use every last ounce of my self-control to keep myself from jumping back in the car and driving 15 minutes to town to get another one!
