Today, this establishment lost a loyal customer for the worst service interaction I have experienced in years. I am not one to leave negative reviews as I understand how impactful they are for local businesses, but the anger and genuine hostility I experienced during my most recent time ordering here has put me off of this place for good.
As we have been ordering from this restaurant since 2016, I understood that a cash-only policy might be in place. To confirm, when placing a pickup order, I asked on the phone if the establishment accepted credit card payment, to which the woman at the other end responded "yes, we take cards now." I would have stopped placing the order if I was told otherwise.
When we show up to pay for our order, however, we are informed that the place is cash only. I am an understanding person, and I have no problem forgiving a simple mistake, but I was understandably surprised. When I expressed that we had been told they take cards, the same woman who took my order insisted that she had told me that it was cash only. This was simply not the case; she looked like she was overwhelmed but I was 100% told that they take credit cards over the phone. I expressed this to her, and her response was incredibly angry: she once again insisted that she had told me something she had not, then made a comment under her breath about "people not listening" or something like that and stormed off.
I did not appreciate being made to feel like I was a liar, and the hostility of that interaction did not sit well with me. I understand that people have bad days and make mistakes, but even if I had made the error and misunderstood what she said, her response to this minor dispute was insulting and frankly shocking.
So be warned: if you still plan on eating here, make sure...
Read moreI was very disappointed in this place last night - We made a special trip specifically because they offer vegan options with dairy free cheese - and if you are vegan, you know how tough it can be to get good vegan pizza that you don't cook yourself. My husband placed the order for a Nuevo Vegetarian large pie and made a specific request to leave off the roasted red peppers (i can't stomach them!! blah!!) We had also ordered a regular half cheese/half pepperoni for our kids. We picked up the pizza and head home for the night - when we arrived back to Kingston and opened the box of the Nuevo Vegetarian, not only was it covered with red peppers but it was CHEESELESS!! So disappointed!! When my husband called from home to inquire about it, the employee said on the phone that they are out of the vegan cheese. Now, if that was known, why weren't we told? My husband used the analogy "if we called for a pepperoni pizza, would you let us know you are out of pepperoni or just send us with a plain cheese and say good luck". The female employee apologized and said she would credit us back when we heard a bold male voice in the backround say "you aren't going to give them a free pizza are you??" - just poor customer service on his part at that point. Needless to say, we pulled the peppers off, put our own vegan cheese on and popped it back in the oven....I can say that the pizza itself was tasty after my alterations but the deceit makes me rethink making the trip to order from...
Read moreWent there about a month ago...BIG mistake! The girl that was working came up to counter and started doing something else...mind you the place was not busy at all, but she just did not acknowledge us. So I said hi. At that point she started to take our order. My wife ordered a slice and I ordered two, but I asked her very politely if she would not make mine too hot. We stood at the counter and after a couple minutes I realized that our slices were probably getting burnt. At this point the girl that was taking care of us was complaining to another employee about how much she hated her job. I had to interrupt them because I knew those slices were burning, so I did but very politely. She did not like me too much for interrupting her complaining. She gave us the slices and we walked back to a table. When we sat I inspected my horribly burnt slices and told my wife that I can't eat them. I walked back up to the counter and asked if there were any more slices left...she said (with a miserable attitude ) there's a slice pie in the oven. I said that's fine I'll wait but i did ask her about how long 5-10min? As she was walking away she responded loudly "yes!" as she slammed the slices in the garbage that I just brought back. Most of the workers in there look like they all bang heroin. Maybe this drug addict should value her job so she can still buy her junk. Horrible place, horrible...
