We recently visited a restaurant that turned out to be a delightful surprise. At first glance, the exterior wasn’t particularly impressive, but once we stepped inside, it was a completely different story. The ambiance was upscale and elegant, but the real highlight was the food—absolutely exquisite.
Browsing the menu, we noticed a variety of tempting dishes. Initially, we were a bit hesitant but as we read on, the options became more and more appealing. We decided on the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Biryani, and Garlic Naan. When the food arrived, we were blown away—it was incredibly delicious, fresh, and cooked to absolute perfection.
The service was equally remarkable. The owner’s son, who was overseeing the evening, was attentive, cordial, and genuinely cared about the customers’ experience. He answered all our questions with ease and made us feel right at home. The rest of the staff was just as kind and professional.
As the evening went on, we learned that the owner’s parents owned another Himalayan restaurant we had visited before. However, we have to say that the food here far exceeded anything we’ve had at other Himalayan spots. This place has quickly risen to the top of our favorites list.
On top of the excellent food and service, the restaurant is also impressively high-tech. Their menus are online, complete with pictures to help you visualize your order, and they’ve implemented the latest technology to enhance the dining experience.
To end our evening, the owner’s son generously offered us complimentary rice pudding, a thoughtful gesture that capped off an already wonderful meal.
We will definitely be returning to this gem. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit restaurant for an exceptional...
Read moreJewel of Himalaya is not what I expected. Indian cuisine varies from region to region, and home to home. However, I’m not even sure they even consulted someone of Indian descent to make/create these recipes and dishes. The appetizer, Momo beef dumplings, which came out after the main meals, which did not meet expectations. They physically looked like any run of the mill dumplings from a Chinese take out. However, the filling had good flavor. My partner and I ordered the chicken Tikka Masala, which had to be the biggest disappointment of the meal. The chicken was bland, cubed white chicken breast, that is completely different from the traditional dish where the chicken is seasoned and slightly cooked before adding the sauce. I was disappointed when there were no other chutneys or yogurt sauce, or veggies offered with the chicken tikka masala. Also, there was no nonalcoholic drink menu offered or seen. This place is a stepping stone for those who haven’t experienced better Indian food, or a home cooked Indian meal. Their only saving grace was their naan...
Read moreLet me start out by saying that I have not been to this restaurant in many years and the last time I was there I really was dissatisfied and felt that it was extremely underwhelming. However, my wife asked us to try it one more time since we had heard changes had happened at this location and I have to say that I am now someone who is absolutely going to be coming here more often. The food was absolutely amazing, the service during a pandemic was spot on from everyone and I have to say that the food was just incredible. Even in take out, it was without a doubt the most flavorful meal I've had in take out in a long time! During the pandemic my wife and I have often done take out for our family and we've tried to get takeout from many other restaurants that do fine dining and it's just fallen so far below par that it is not even funny. However, Jewel of Himalaya really shined in this area; the food was absolutely piping hot when we got home the food was still extremely flavorful as if we were sitting in the restaurant, great job! You've got a...
