My parents and I visited this establishment on 6/26/2025 it's our second visit. This establishment represents what a Greek Family Kitchen should be. It's truly the best Greek cuisine in Westchester County NY! Mr. Cunha (Rui), his son Andrew, family and staff make you feel like family with the warmth of their hospitality is represented with class. From their outstanding cuisine with a spectacular menu with a variety of options for every patron that takes a seat at Pappou's Greek Kitchen. The first brings a warm plate of pita & marinated Greek olives to your table, absolutely delicious beginning before your meal. The three of us had the Pappou Sangria, it's a must try! The perfect balance of red wine & fruits with an extra kick of brandy, the best sangria from an exquisite Greek establishment. Now to our entrees which were outstanding, I had the small thalassa, a masterpiece of the sea, selected grilled seafood consisting of calamari, shrimp, and octopus, Excellent! My mother had the marcos entre, she absolutely enjoyed it, and loved the spicy feta for dipping. My father also had the small thalassa, he mentioned to me it was perfect! Now to the conclusion of our fabulous meal, I opted for the Loukoumades, crispy and light Greek style doughnuts, let me tell you, they're life changing! warm and drizzled with honey and a dust of cinnamon, they're addicting! Our Server Audriana was an absolute delight! As a Culinarian/Foodie, Pappous Greek Kitchen is the real deal! I Highly Recommend! Tell them...
Read moreI have been to my fair share of restaurants through my life, and let me tell you, Pappous is one of my favorites. As you walk through the front door you are hit with a wave of delicious smells. The workers at the front counter were so kind and made sure to make me a priority. I came on a busy Friday and it took only a couple of minutes before I was seated at my table, which is incredible compared to other restaurants on a Friday night. The services is amazing, my server was so understanding when I was having difficulty figuring out what I would like to eat and made me feel comfortable right away. They even helped me learn a couple of Greek words!! By the end of my meal I had to unbutton my jeans because the food was so scrumptious. I even ordered takeout to bring home with me after. Since my first time coming I think I’ve gotten food at least 100 times. I just cannot get over how yummy it is. The owners are so generous and friendly. It is a family owned restaurant which is adorable. The owners take care of all of their customers like they are family which I’ve never seen before. I have brought all of my family to sit and have a wonderful dinner at Pappous. It is truly a gem. If you ever need somewhere to eat I would recommend Pappous because it is truly an experience...
Read moreHad dinner on Sunday evening. We came around 7:00 pm without making a reservation. The place was fully attended yet we were seated within 5 minutes. Pocketless Pita bread and Kalamata olives were brought to the table while we were checking the menu. We ordered a souvlaki chicken and a souvlaki pork. These also come with a salad and pita bread as well as fries or rice. The pork souvlaki was good. Chicken souvlaki was a bit on the dry side, since chicken is a lean meat. The salads were disappointing. The salad portion was small and include only one small cube of feta cheese. The salad dressing was very neutral (no flavor). The fries were okay, but nothing special. The service was satisfactory allowing us to make conversation without being interrupted by waitress asking if everything okay. I also like to compare this new restaurant to an older establishment “Lefteris Gyro” in Mt. Kisco. Both restaurants are priced similarly for the dishes we took. Lefteris offers a lamb souvlaki that is not offered in Pappous. The salads in Lefteris are much larger, richer in ingredients, and are a treat to one’s palate. The meats were comparable. Overall Lefteris is a...
